Dr. Jonathan Teh Cheang, MD

Dr. Jonathan Cheang is incapable of listening. He will immediately cut you off mid-sentence to ask a question. And he does this over and over again. He is not working for you, he is working to get you out of the door. His appointments are only 20 minutes, but he will push you out the door in 10 if you let him. He is also extremely condescending and will talk down to you and laugh at you while you re talking. My office visits with him are absolutely miserable.

I came into his office and needed help immediately. I explained my symptoms and he diagnosed me right away. I was initially in denial with what I was diagnosed with. He was patient and supported my thoughts and convinced me to try the medication. Years of suffering since a teenager, and now I have a chance at a whole new life. I can not thank him enough. I am now a better mother, sister, and daughter. He is straight and to the point, but I admire that because he tells you what you need to hear and sometimes reality is not what you want to hear. I owe him my life, and when I thank him, I dont think he realizes what a blessing his help has been to me and my family.

Doctor Cheang got me right in when I told him about suicidal thoughts , he saved my life, I have been going to him for 4 years now he's had to adjust my meds a few times so I can feel and be comfortable, I feel really good now , he is very knowledgeable and encouraging I highly Dr Cheang.

I was prescribed the wrong medicine multiple times. Refills were called in without my request. Confidentiality is a joke. He shared intimate details about my patient history without my permission. Malpractice suit waiting to happen. He'll spend five minutes with you, give you your drugs, and send you away. Does not try to get to the root cause of the problems - he just wants to medicate you and see you every month. Oh, and be careful about calling - you may be charged a copay for a "consultation". Find care elsewhere. There is no wait time because he spends no time with his patients.

The staff, alone, was a horrible experience. Mary is so unprofessional. She is rude on the phone, kept cutting me off while I was explaining my plan for suicide that I didn't even get to tell her what I needed help for, or that I was suicidal. I had to call my regular MD instead. They should really train their staff where they work and what to do when patients call. Thank God I had another line of help or I wouldn't be writing this today. Very very bad service!!!

I called recently to check on a refill for my husband and couldnt believe the hassle it was. The new receptionist is HORRIBLE. She is unprofessional and very verbally abusive. If it wasnt for Dr Jonathan being a great doctor we would seeked another provider. In fact, I will be considering searching for another one. On a side note our family travels almost 2 hours to see him after we moved because the office staff used to be amazing and the front desk girl was kind and understood how to treat mental health patients.

I disagree with some who wrote the girls in office are a mess. they are very helpful and nothing but kind and always get back to me right away.

Was very patient with our mentally challenge son & very interested in helping our son get the best diagnose with the right medication. Our son really liked going to see him. We seen many doctors & dr. cheang is 2 of many that really showed concern & kindness about our son's mental care.

I've been seeing mr. Cheang for over 4 years. Still suffering, he does'nt listen, cuts you off while your talking. Rolls his eyes back when you are explaining what's going on. Pushes pills and never can come up with a stable plan or able to find the right meds. The girls in the office are a mess. Time to stand up and find a good doctor not one that continues to let his pt's suffer. If you need help, don"t go here.
