Dr. Rolf Gustav F Palmer, MD

I saw Dr. Palmer twice. The first appointment was an hour. I assumed the second appointment was an hour, as well. At about 33 minutes into the second appointment, he said "these appointments aren't open-ended" and something like "you can't just keep talking." It was so hurtful because I had already been crying earlier in the appointment and was very fragile and vulnerable. I asked how long the appointment was and he said 30 minutes. How was I supposed to know? The way he handled it was insensitive and, since I had opened up so much to him, it felt like a violation for him to rush me out of his office. On top of this, his practice is very antiquated; he only accepts checks and relies on mail and faxing to send documents - no e-mail. In addition, his wife is his support staff and you can barely understand her when she calls, and she's offended when you ask her to repeat anything. The whole arrangement is not conducive to someone who is already having a hard time coping with life.

Dr. Palmer was of no help for my condition of PTSD. He did not give advise to deal with all my symptoms. No therapeutic ideals nothing!!!! Failed to tell me what preliminary diagnosis he thought I had. Failed in very aspect of understanding what condition I have.
