Dr. Jonathan Arthur Cheek, MD

I just want to say that I’ve taken both my children to Dr. Cheek for about 6 years now. I met him after the birth of my first child in the hospital and he was so caring and really expressed concern for me and not just my child. We continued to see him up until a year ago. The only reason we haven’t seen him lately is because our insurance got cancelled. He is kind and caring and thorough. He always asks lots of questions and has lots of helpful tips. I always trusted his opinion, still do. They would always fit me in if my kid was really sick, even if they were super busy. The nurses were nice. The only time I ever had a slight problem was when I didn’t want my kid to get a flu shot. He told me it was my choice, but to come back and see him when my kid got the flu. I didn’t think that was very nice, but I understand that he believes all kids should have the flu shot. He’s probably seen kids get very sick from the flu and was coming at it from a place of caring. He didn’t… push though. This one thing after years of seeing him was not enough for me to stop seeing him. He really does care about your child and was always patient with us. Thanks Dr. Cheek for your care all these years. We appreciate you!

I use to like Dr. Cheek, But I have changed my mind. He seems over worked and short tempered lately. I asked a question concerning my baby and he would not answer my question and lost his temper with me. He professes to be a Christain yet he has no patience or forgiveness. He needs to retire as he has become angry, short tempered and bitter.

I used this office with my older children. when my doctor at the time moved away I changed to a new practice. I've since returned and see Dr Cheek and I absolutely love him. My daughter had digestive issues and he worked very patiently with us giving samples and trying new things always listened to my concerns and always helpful with advice. I've never found him to be judgemental. He takes his time with my daughter and asks questions and let's me ask questions. I would've have been lost with out him. My daughter was difficult to "figure out". She also had weak neck muscles causing her head to only look one way, causing her head to be flat on one side, he showed me exercises to do with her and gave me advice on ways to help her. Never did he judge me or make me feel I was a bad mother. He usually praises me when I go in to see him. I just adore him. My daughter is very friendly toward him and she usually shy's away from strangers. I recommend him.

I loved visiting Dr. Cheek's office! The appointment was easy to set up and the employees are very courteous. My daughter tolerated her checkup which is saying something as she can get very upset at places like the dentist. I'd definitely recommend my friends take their kids to Dr. Cheek's office.

I have been going to his practice for years seeing an associate of his. Dr Cheek I have seen on several occasions. He is always stressed, overworked and has a bad temper. He has hidden cameras in his waiting room and probably all over the office. He is quick to blame the parent for the child being sick and never gives the parent the benefit of the doubt. He seems very judgemental and suspicious of his patient's parents. This is probably due to the fact that he sees medicaid patients and sees the mexicans, blacks and white trash as less than. In his mind I am white trash and he likes to keep an eye on all of us in the waiting room!
