Extremely thorough & responsive to concerns.

We have found Dr Goldstein to be totally amazing.Very reachable, extremely comforting, and ready to go the extra mile.He is extremely brilliant and will research every aspect if need be. WE found him to also be so warm and welcoming and informative.He got involved with our whole family to make sure we all understood every aspect of my husband's condition.He worked with the other doctors too.He left no stone unturned. He is an amazing doctor, and human being.

There are not enough words to say about this wonderful human being.He saved my husbands life as he was quick to figure out what was wrong when other doctors in his field failed..He also settled my nerves.He is always available. Gets back to us via text or cell almost instantly. He has helped others in our family immensely, and pointed them in the right direction. He is so caring, never rushed an appointment, will call randomly to check on my husband or ask about family members.I wish more doctors were like him.He has done so much for our family.We feel lucky and secure to have him.

I have been reluctant to post any negative reviews on Dr. Goldstein because of his association with HSS, a hospital possessing an impeccable reputation. However, I am doing this to help others who have debilitating nerve issues. To be clear I have had numerous nerve tests with a number of reputable doctors so I believe I can make a good comparative analysis. The one good thing I can say about him is that he is extremely thorough when conducting his nerve tests. Actually, he appears to take pleasure in the pain he inflicts during the test (not provided breaks even while one is in tears). In other words, he has no regard for the patient. I realize these tests are always painful, but he seems to relish it. I think a switch flipped in him. Agree with other reviews ... he doesn't care about his patients, forgets their issues, doesn't follow up, forgets appointments, and the front desk appears glazed and confused when I show up for an appointment (like they never heard of him and… can't find him). Am not sure how he ended up with HSS. I guess they don't realize that he takes pleasure in the pain he inflicts. He shouldn't be a doctor, and he certainly shouldn't be working for HSS.

HIS SUGGESTION THAT I TAKE GAMMA GLOBULEN FOR MY NEUROPATHY WAS PRETTY ACCURATE. NOW FOR THE GOOD PART: HE NEVER RETURNS CALLS, FORGETS ABOUT PATIENT PROBLEMS, MADE APPTS THAT REQUIRED TEST RESULTS AND DIDN'T ORDER THE TESTS, HAS A STRANGE OFFICE IN CONNECTICUT WHERE NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHERE HE IS, MAKES WEIRD STATEMENTS THAT CAN'T BE UNDERSTOOD, HAVE TO CALL PATIENT CARE DEPT WHO, IN TURN ,CALL HIM TO TELL HIM WHAT HE IS SUPPOSED TO DO! A COMPLETE ENIGMA AND A HUGE BLACK MARK FOR HSS. RUN FROM THIS GUY-FAST!

After he was slavishly promoted by the leader of my support group for an extraordinarily long time, I drank the Kool Aid and went to him. It was a serious mistake -- unprofessional, inconsiderate, dishonest -- should not be allowed near people with illnesses. Run (if you can), don't walk, away from this doctor.

Mine is a fairly complex case that is still unresolved. Initially Dr Goldstein came across a little flat, but when done with my 45 minute appointment, I found him not only personable, but knowledgeable and up front as well. Did he have all the answers? Perhaps not, but as a physician, we don't always have the answers. Perhaps he spent more time with me because I am a physician, but I did not feel this was the case. Drs should be evaluated based on their care and competence; both of which were reasonable at the very least. I will update this if and when necessary!

Disinterested and neglectful. A friend told me the fact he moved from CT to NYC is a sign he had troubles in his former location. Disappointed HSS hired him. They need to watch this guy and get rid of him.

Felt like a laboratory animal undergoing physiology experiments. Thought HSS would be the best of the best, but it was no better than any other 1st class hospital. Non diagnosis - diagnosis. Still at square 1

Arrogant and rude. Checked phone and enails instead if looking at brain mri. Said there was nothing wrong with me but barely talked or examined me but then wanted to do a spinal tap...really? Shocked he is at HSS
