Dr. Jonathan Daniel Howe, MD

I was diagnosed with macular degeneration in my early 40's (there is no cure for it). Dr. Howe's treatment has stopped the progression of this disease and my losing my eyesight for which I am extremely grateful. I developed cataracts in both eyes in my late 60's and when the time came to have surgery done Dr. Howe explained to me the 3 different options of lens and the cost, the standard lens would be covered by Medicare, in my case by my group insurance, I was still working at the time. I would have to pay for the other two options since my group insurance would not cover it. I told him my eyesight was very important to me and I did not care about the cost so I told him I wanted the best lens available, he told me that in my case the standard lens would work just as good and restore my vision with no additional expense. The surgery was done with the standard lens and no glasses are needed to this day (except for very small print I need reading glasses), I can still read the… newspaper with no reading glasses. My wife was hesitant in having cataract surgery, but when she saw the difference in my eyesight she also had it done and she is very happy with the results too. Dr. Howe is an EXCELLENT ophthalmologist and surgeon with many years of experience. If you want the very best personalized and individual care for something so complicated and important as your eyesight, I highly recommend Dr. Howe. I really appreciate Dr. Howe and his staff; they are very friendly and caring.
