Dr. Jonathan David Kaplan, MD

Horrible & rude staff and a horrible way of conducting business. My mom saw Dr. Kaplan when she was admitted to Delray Medical Center a few weeks ago; he did an endoscopy & colonoscopy on her and asked to see her for a follow up in his office when she was discharged. I called his office to schedule the appointment for my mom since she doesn't speak English and when I spoke to Kerri Owens on the phone she was fine until my mom went to her appointment today and they told her 1) you don't speak English so we can't treat you. This is totally unacceptable when Kerri did tell me that she had Spanish speaking people in her office who could help my mom. 2) Kerri told my mom that Dr. Kaplan didn't take Humana Medicaid when I clearly gave her my mom's insurance info on the phone when making the appointment. How is it possible to turn an 89 year old patient whom the doctor asked to see so he could follow up with her for her diverticulitis issue?! How irresponsible is this staff? If the… doctor didn't take her insurance then why did he ask to follow up with her personally instead of saying she should follow up with a doctor who takes her insurance and why did Kerri confirm my mom's appointment when I gave her the insurance info? They had to wait until my mom, who has issues walking, got to their office to turn her away?! Unacceptable and Dr Kaplan and his staff should be ashamed!

I am extremely impressed by Dr. Kaplan and his amazing office staff. Everyone is so nice and friendly and truly make office visits a pleasant experience. I was very anxious about seeing a physician for my GI problems, and being a nurse, I do not like to be on the receiving end of patient care. Dr. Kaplan is very calm, reassuring, and informative. He explains everything in a clear and concise manner. I truly feel that I am in the best hands when it comes to a GI specialist and I would recommend Dr. Kaplan to anyone!!

Dr. Kaplan listened to and addressed my concerns about my symptoms. He is both caring and empathetic.

I was anxious and had more than one concern and was coming from a specialist who was rushed and gave confusing information. Dr. Kaplan was clear and concise and I left calm and informed. Staff is on time and organized. Very, very impressed.

He treated me as though I had a brain. Nice. Friendly.

Both the staff and Dr. Kaplan were amazingly awesome! I was in quite a bit of pain and the staff member I spoke to went out of her way to schedule me the soonest appointment (next day as there was a cancellation). Dr. Kaplan was extemebly professional and quickly scheduled me for the various tests I needed to arrive at a diagnosis. I would highly recommend this doctor and his staff was the icing on the cake...absolutely fabulous.

He made me feel at ease with my situation explaining all of my options. Great doctor & facility. He even did my procedure when he was not scheduled that day. Amazing..

Dr. Kaplan is not only an excellent physician, he possesses an incredibly warm bedside manner. The office staff is equally personable, and reassuring.

Was referred to Dr Kaplan by my parents... they love him!! His office was very helpful when I made my appointment and for once a Dr's office was running on-time when I arrived!! He diagnosed my issue ,prescribed treatment and now I am fine. Thanks Dr Kaplan!!!
