I called waited for 27 minutes till a receptionist answered for appointment scheduling and was short with me would not listen to me would not let me ask or explain anything. Then to top it off she hung up on me.

At my first consultation, I waited for almost 2 hours but he spent approximately only 3 minutes with me. I was trying to explain my symptoms and my situation, but he just interrupted me the whole time, asked me a total of 2 questions, did not explain his examination, diagnosis, or anything to me. He just gave me sample medication to try to help with my symptoms until my next appointment with him. If the samples worked, he said he’ll write a prescription. Unfortunately, my appointment was pushed by 2 weeks do to jury duty so I called the office and asked for 2 weeks more of the sample medications as the samples helped with the pain/symptoms. He will not give me more samples nor write me a prescription. He doesn’t care if I was in pain. It is a shame doctors like him are allowed to practice.

Dr. Perley is to busy to care about his patients properly. I write this review for my father, since my father has had a stroke due to Dr. Perley’s lack of care and follow up. The details: - due to my dad’s age we requested a spine block anesthesia, he was given general anesthesia which made him confused for days - the day of surgery he was discharged without instructions about restarting his blood thinner medication (he had already been off of it for 10 days prior to the surgery, per Dr. Perley’s instruction). - the day after the surgery was a holiday - we called the office the next morning, as soon as they opened to ask when my dad should resume his blood thinner medication and to make a surgery follow up appointment. We were told they needed to call us back. They didn’t, so we called Later that afternoon. Again we were told to call back...on Monday. - Called first thing Monday and were told all of the appointments for that week were filled and they still needed to get back to… us on the blood thinner (my dad has now been 15 days without any blood thinner medication) - Again, no return call, so I called again in the afternoon to get instruction on the blood thinner medication and was finally given instruction. - the instruction came too late and my dad had a stroke. The attending doctor stated it was directly due to the fact that my father did not have his blood thinner medication for so long. - while my dad was in the hospital, we requested that Dr. Perley do the post-surgery follow up appointment and remove his catheter (it was the same hospital where my dad had his surgery), and we were told Dr. Perley wouldn’t do that, and we would have to make an appointment after my dad was discharged from the hospital. - my dad was in the hospital for a week and rehab for a month at which time we contacted Dr. Perley’s office to make the post-surgery follow up appointment. His appointment was made for 1 month later. - when my dad finally went to his post-surgery follow up appointment at the appointed time. he waited for 2 -1/2 hours in the waiting room. He never saw the doctor because Dr. Perley’s schedule was so overbooked and my dad would have had to wait an additional 45 minutes before being seen. Well, that is our family’s experience with Dr. Jonathan Perley. Now you understand why I say if I could give him no stars, I would!

Affectionately referred to as the butcher by the patient, whose prostate "problem" has worsened since Sr Pearly OPERATION - made it worse, no time for patient care too busy bilking medi-cal, yeah.

I was a patient of Dr. Perley a few years ago. I was in so much pain due to a large kidney stone. Dr.Perley was summoned by the hospital staff to go to Lakewood Hospital to evaluate me. He arrived in an hour from his office and immediately had me taken to the operating room to remove the kidney stone. The procedure was successful of course and I recovered from it. Most of the time, doctors are late because they have to do rounds at the hospital to see patients who were admitted for something that needs to be evaluated or post operation patients. That is what most famous doctors do. Doctors who do not see a lot of patients usually have a lot of time in their hands so they are always in the office available to see patients. I understand the anger and frustration of a lot of the patients but consider the chance that you might one day be one of those patients who will need an emergency surgery. Trust me, you will be glad to see Dr. Perley standing next to you to relieve you of your pain.… Keep in mind that he does not do the scheduling of patients either. In this type of office, we need to have more patience. You are not the only one in need of a doctor.

I do not recommend this Dr Perley, My dad needs prostate surgery. It was already known by the first appointment. The surgery is finally scheduled for August. Today we are in June, I dad has to wait two months for surgery.. The staff is horrible, They sound very uneducated and very uncaring. I have left so many messages for their office manager. No call backs. I just hope in the future , he will experience what's like to be on the Catheter four 4 months!
