Subpar clinical care. Completely detached from the reality of his patients who he knows nothing about. Unable and unwilling to provide a positive and reaffirming attitude to deal with the delaicies of his patient's lives and their injuries. Having this doctor as my primary doctor is the single worst thing that happened to me and switching to a different neuropsychiatrist is the single best decision I have made in the last decade. Unfortunately because of this doctor I suffered for years of injury, unemployment, underemployment, lost relationships (which he knows nothing about the personal lives of patients) and I now have to make up for a lost decade. He couldn't even get my meds right. Oh, and his top 'referral' for me was to a 'quack doctor' in Canada who ended up ruining my life. I highly recommend you stay far away from this doctor-you will be be much better off.

went here after a TBI and he got just about every aspect of my care wrong. Couldn't get me the right meds (didn't instruct me properly on how if I was getting side effects initially that it was actually a good sign the right pathways were being targeted). All he could do was refill, refill, refill and kept me hooked on meds like benzos and other meds bad for my autonomics. Should have referred me to psychologist for CBT/DBT at age 21, not 6 years too late only after my parents asked. sent me to various chiropractors for my neck including possibly the worst referral of all time sending me to a quack doctor in Canada where I was sexually assaulted + his program was ineffective and made me worse. So many Lost years of unemployment, lost my possible fiance, career, endless $ because I was so under cared for medically. No supervision with trying to get off meds, no real guidance, nothing. Also, doesn't know anything about me even though I was under his "care" for a decade. Have made more… progress with my new neuropsych in <4 months then with him in 10 years. Extremely Grateful I found her but also makes me upset to think of the lost decade/years I had with this doc. Would never recommend him as a primary doctor for anyone's concussion care.

Dr Silver is undoubtably the best in his field. He has been treating me for many years and stood by me as I’ve grown from a difficult adolescent to successful adult. I will always have a mood and personality disorder but I am well managed thanks to Dr Silver’s skill. And he tells it like it is-which I may not always like but have to respect. I find it interesting that his low ratings come with no comments....perhaps he held patients accountable and they didn’t like it....

I don't think I've ever met a more genuine and caring doctor. We are in a situation where we are dealing with close to ten specialists, and by far, Dr. Silver is the most responsive. He's also batting 1000 when it comes to diagnostics. We continue to work with him, and his attention to detail and responsiveness in emergent situations is unparalleled. We are very grateful for Dr. Silver. He gives us courage and hope.

Dr. Silver has been helping me with therapies for a brain-injury. He is thoughtful, funny, and understanding. Every time I meet with him, I know that he is interested in me as a person, not just me as a medical condition. He knows (and can prescribe) the very latest drugs and other therapies. He wrote the book (edited the standard textbook) on neuro-psychiatric therapies for brain injuries. Dr. Silver has made a gigantic, positive difference in my life. Dr. Silver is incredibly responsive when I've needed him. He has always called me back within 30 minutes--even late at night or on a weekend. He has also been more than supportive when it comes to filling out the reams of documentation that my insurance requires. Getting referred to Dr. Silver was a major plus in my life.

Dr. Silver is a wonderful, caring physician. He made me feel at ease. Though he is greatly esteemed in his profession, his calming presence is one from which all physicians could learn. In short -- he is a great doctor.
