Dr. Jonathan Lee Sollender, MD

Today was my last visit with Dr. Sollender after having a surgery to repair a tendon in my hand. When I left his office I felt awful. This doctor definitely lacks empathy and respect. He has a horrible bedside manner. I don't think this doctor has a passion for helping people like most doctors claim. I believe he does the bare minimum so that you'll have to go back to him for further surgeries at $17k a pop. I'm not upset because of the information he gave me about my recovery but the way he delivered the information was very unprofessional.j

Dr. Sollender "supposedly" put my little finger back in the joint after I had a bad fall. He told me 2 weeks later it was doing well, etc., although it was also fractured. After 2 more visits he did nothing to help and never took a second X-ray to check the finger. I finally went to another hand surgeon who took X-rays and said the finger was "a mess." The second hand surgeon had to do a joint replacement on my little finger...with excellent results.

Avoid this doctor if possible. He is incompetent and working the Work Comp system for all it is worth. If your Work Comp company wants to send you to him for an IME....DON'T let them. Request another doctor! I'm not the only one with this opinion, do your research and read other online reviews about this doctor.

Dr. Sollender spent a total of 5 minutes with me for $482.52. He looked at my x-rays (hand), gave me my options and sent me on my way. I was in a lot of pain and he prescribed Vicodin which ended up making me sick. I called to inform him of this and requested Percocet as that had worked much better with no ill effects. He refused so I got to spend the next 4 days in pain until I decided to get another opinion from a very highly regarded hand surgeon. It turned out I didn't need surgery at all. Evidentally Dr. Sollender was upset at not having the income from my unneeded surgery. It was a workers comp case and I gave all the information to the assistant and assumed we had parted ways but just received a collection agency letter for $482.52! Thanks Doc :-) Your a true asset to the medical community.
