Dr. Jonathan L Sulkin, PhD

I was a patient of this lunatic when I was a child, and his advice to my parents TRAUMATIZED me. I am in my late twenties now, and the things he had my family do to “discipline” and “teach me” things still haunt and impact me to this day. The good reviews on here are probably all written himself.

Ive been a patient of Dr Sulkin's for two years now. I can truly say his approach is unconventional by today's mainstream therapeutics. This practice isn't only built on individual health but also community health and supporting others in the same ways. I believe that the some peoples idea of what is 'cult like' is generally a misunderstanding of what community means. Cult is not community. Community is what I've been missing. People who see me for me and accept just that. Support just that. And help me through every stage of change and development. My experience with Dr Sulkin has been challenging and by far the most rewarding and the most healing. And I really had to be ready, myself, to accept this dialogue and work. I'm progressing to such better places and am thankful to have found what I need in this therapist, practice, and group.

This man’s ego is bigger than his house! Absolutely terrible therapist…. If you don’t agree with what he says, He won’t work with you. He gives his advice and expects you to take it…. Much to your detriment.

Wildly overconfident, poor listener, can solve all of your problems barely listening to what they are. He may start by telling you your family connections are the source of your problems and by encouraging you to lash out at them. He is very interested in getting you into his weekly therapy groups due to the extra income they generate. I worked with Jonthan for two years, and I did not realize the damage following his advice caused for a few years. What a mistake it was to work with him. Very dangerous for a person in crisis who needs professional help to work through problems with Jonathan. Jonthan fits the archetype of the "shadow healer".

Self-important, egotistical, and dangerous. He seems dead set on ruining people's lives and their relationships. I'm astounded he is even legally allowed to practice. He will spend most of the time talking about himself. The rest of the time he will spend telling you how horrible your family is and trying to sell you on his cult-like therapy group. I strongly recommend keeping you, your family, and your friends away from this man.

Please for the well being of your family unit, stay away from Jonathan L Sulkin! He will find what he considers the weak link in your family, he will brainwash you, some how, make you believe your family is no good, he will make sure he puts distance between you and your family, in due time, you will, talk, act, like Jonathan, I believe his goal is, to be worshiped! I know this, because my child is one of his followers, a child we had a great relationship with, until this poor excuse of a therapist, got in his head! Now he hates us! And calls us by our name, we r no longer his Mother and Father! We went with our family member 3 times, and knew, something was so wrong about Jonathan, not only did he talk, and talk, he would try to start arguments between family members! Please please for the good of your family, Stay far away from this Man! He is a disgrace to the profession!

If you are looking for a good, Therapist, DO NOT, go to Jonathan, His sessions are all about him, he talks and talks, but real says nothing, relevant! I believe he zooms in on, individuals, He feels, can be easily manipulate, for his cult like Therapy group, He wants you to worship, follow, and he is looking to be the most important person in your life, I believe his goal is to divide, break up families, and focus on the one individual the He feels will follow him!

Went to a family session with my Adult Son, at his request, after the first session, we should of RUN! I truly believe Sulkin should be investigated by the state! We spent 2 sessions listening to this Man’s unrelated, inflated egotistical stories! I could tell he was annoyed, by our non interested in his story telling! We had to keep interrupting and redirecting, him, Just to get a word in, and remind him, what we are looking for from a professional! when asking our Son specific questions, Sulkin would answer, he was asked over and over to allow our Son to answer for himself, being our Son invited us. He just couldn’t control himself, he got very annoyed, very confrontational with our family, he was disrespectful, judgmental, Adversarial, I got the feeling, he was looking to divide us, even tho as a family we were there to support our Son. When our son called us that night, He told us Jonathan “told him to forget we were his parents”! That was a quote!
