Dr. Jonathon Jay Rynning, MD

Dr. Rynning is thorough, clear, and highly effective in his approach to patient care. I am seen on-time at my appointments and the office staff (especially Jenae) is very helpful. I trust Dr. Rynning and I know that in his care I am receiving the absolute best treatment, as the quality of my life has vastly improved. My experience has been excellent.

I've been Dr.Rynning patient since 2001 he is amazing!! A lot times we don't see eye to eye on everything,but I know he wants the best for me. I have no idea why all the bad reviews The ladies in the office are great they have never been rude to me.thats Melinda and Crystal. O well... I just called and had no idea that they were at lunch..and for the first time Crystsl was a bit rude. All I called was to clarify something,her answer was were at lunch can you call back later. "Were not even supposed to be answering the phone"the answering service was not on. How was I supposed to know that I was interrupting lunch. All I was calling was to give a good review LOL I called him today 5/8 To tell him about a side effect of a medication and he was so helpful. I have no idea why people have all bad thing to say about him... I hope I never have to change my opinion about Dr.rynning ????

He's horrible!! He never hear the patients He only see you for less the 10 Minutes and is very argumentative.. He was great before.NOT NOW!!

Dr. Rynning asks direct questions. it can be discombobulating on things that are so personal that one may only have revealed to one other ever, but I found that I just had to trust the situation and haven't regretted it. He's very direct. I trust him. I'm doing the best I can to manage my life and find improvement and hope. I haven't done anything wrong, and have a right to get better. I don't care about bedside manner. I want medicine management and release from my past demons. You get out what you put in. It's all confidential.

Staff are very rude and inconsiderate considering the type of office they work in. Dr. Rynning seems disinterested in what patient had to say and did not answer a message requesting information about a drug that he just prescribed. He did not give appropriate amount of medication either to cover time period until next visit. Office is very outdated and is not accessible to anyone using a wheelchair.

I have a long history of depression and anxiety, and I went to see him after moving to New Orleans. I was having issues with increased anxiety. My visits with Dr. Rynning were generally short and to the point, and he identified some dosage and medication changes that resulted in significant improvements. I’ve had amazing psychiatrists with all the bells and whistles that come with a great bedside manner. Dr. Rynning didn’t have that, but he made my life better and I have no complaints. I would recommend him, but your mileage may vary depending on your expectations.

This was the rudest Doctor I have ever experienced. He was judgmental and I left his office feeling more depressed when I arrived. I've been to other doctors and was trying to get someone on my insurance plan, well he was and is horrific. This man should not be a doctor in any capacity. Ice Cold!!!!

If you want a doctor that will work with you until you feel better, Dr. Rhynning is the md for you. He helps in anyway possible to get you back on your feet.

Dr. Rynning is absolutely horrific. I would never recommend him, nor would I encourage anyone to ever go to him. The office staff is extremely rude and very unprofessional. I needed release papers to be signed so I could proceed in the next step of nursing school. I gave the papers to the staff saying that I needed them signed and completed in one week. After calling the office countless times, and going to the actual office and raising all heck; I finally received my papers a week late AFTER an hour and a half wait to get them because he was "seeing patients." That was the response I received every time I called or went there to get my papers. Absolutely unprofessional. He rushed through appointments and was an extremely rude man. After telling him my medication gave me horrible side effects, his response was: "well do you think we should lower your dose?" Excuse me, but aren't you the one with the PhD?
