I saw Dr. Gonso for years of therapy and she is a wonderful, compassionate female and when I could no longer afford her session fee - she continued to help me without charging me anything so, she is my "Earth Angel" - a loving and very caring human being. Thank you Jonni for being there for me during the worst two [2] years of my life!! Thank you!

Shared personal experiences to connected during one of my darkest parts of my life. Sided with me. Then met privately with my ex for almost 2 years. She wrote a horrible description to the court about me and favored my ex. She is not someone with ethics and like most therapist take money and are just as messed up as their clients.

I am disabled and my wife filed for divorce. I choose Joni to help with my son. Our second meeting she had the guy my wife had been having an affair with come to meet with her. We are still married and Joni charged me to meet with the guy my wife is sleeping with when I needed help with my baby. You can not trust this woman. Search the internet and find out for yourselves. Huge disappointment. Other Doctors in the Same field also have a very low and opinion of her. Save yourself and and your children and stay away from this woman.

I paid for a custody evaluation and provided extensive amount of evidence and detail for her to read through which in her final valuation she admittedly discarded. The evidence had incriminating information and deception that my ex husband had committed and how he was using our kids as punishment since he had lost other levers. My son needed counseling bc he was threatening self harm and other issues I attempted to address went unaddressed and continue to date such as his abuse in taking my parent time and holidays at Will and not paying his portion of child support. Her sessions turned into nothing more than bad marriage counseling sessions and ultimately my boys and I are suffering as a result of her laziness and unprofessionalism.

We engaged this "professional" to perform the role of Parenting Coordinator in an effort to improve the co-parenting relationship for the benefit of our children. She has neglected to perform her duties as clearly defined in the court order appointing her to this position. In speaking with other professionals in both the legal and mental health communities it has become clear our situation is not unique. The vast majority of those with whom I have spoken would NEVER recommend her services. She has made statements which have proven to be grossly inaccurate and has instead inflamed an already contentious situation.

Jonni Gonso has had a devastating effect on my and my children's life. My former spouse asked Gonso to tell the court that a close family member was a convicted felon - a drug dealer - and because of that our children should no longer be allowed at family gatherings. Gonso did as she was told and wrote a binding recommendation to the court on behalf of my former spouse. This claim was completely false. The truth is that I had told my then-spouse years earlier, that when the kid was 13, he and some friends were caught toilet-papering a house and when the police showed up they all ran - and got caught. Running from the police is a serious offense. But the kids were contrite, they did service, and they never got into trouble with the law again. The kid is now almost 30. So this small kernel of information was used years later by my former spouse as an alienation tactic to distance our children from my side of the family. Gonso did not bother to ask me about the claim before she filed the… recommendation with the court. When I confronted her about it she redacted it from the court. In my opinion, Gonso is unprofessional, biased and will lie - or at least not bother to verify - as long as you can pay her to do it. When my former spouse demanded that I lie to our then 8-year-old son about our child's debilitating eye condition and tell him that there is nothing wrong with his eyes - Gonso agreed that I was not allowed to answer my son's questions or discuss his concerns with him - and she wrote it as a PC Note and binding recommendation to the court. At 8 years old he knew something was wrong and he had questions. My son asked me point blank, "Am I going blind?" I told him that that was a question for the doctors and that there was a lot of research going on about his condition - and progress is being made every day. It felt to me that Gonso basically insisted that I emotionally torture my son with lies and have him believe he was "mental" instead of experiencing a very real and scary deterioration of his eyesight. The reasoning that Gonso and my ex gave for the lie that they insisted I tell my child was: "Let him enjoy his childhood free of concern about his eyesight." I was stunned at Gonso's willingness to agree with my ex's manipulative behavior. It wasn't the first or last time she did so - but this was the instance that I truly realized what I was dealing with with Gonso as the PC. I had previously doubted myself - maybe I was too emotional and I didn't have the words or ability to explain with clarity what was going on and how my ex was lying and manipulating practically every situation. I had been gaslighted and reality had been contorted by my former spouse during our relationship. Now my child had to experience it with the blessing of a so-called professional. I was stunned, frustrated and angry. I couldn't tell if she was just clueless or diabolical. Gonso once lambasted me in an email that I do not pay her and that she does not work for free - it is true that after awhile I stopped seeing her and stopped paying her to abuse me and my children with her power as a court ordered PC. Why would I pay her to to cause harm? Her decisions and logic were stunningly wrong and hurtful to my children - and her decisions empowered an already controlling and abusive ex to be more so. It seems to me that she takes orders from my former spouse for payment on a regular basis now. I tried to get an appointment to meet with her and better understand her decisions but she refuses to give me an appointment. So I have no voice. My children have no voice. She knows I can't afford an attorney. She continues to provide biased and alienating recommendations to the court in a pattern of escalation. If I could afford an attorney she would not be able to abuse her power in this way. Her most recent recommendation: She and my ex have decided that I am no longer allowed to see my children. Gonso sent an email to me and copied my former spouse stating that I am no longer allowed to see my children. I have done NOTHING to warrant this. I am not exaggerating my experience with Gonso - I wish I could afford an attorney and have my day in court for the sake of my children and my own heartbreak at this constant alienation attacks and tactics. If only a judge could have a few minutes of private conversation with my kids who are now 13 and 17. Gonso stated in her email that the reason she made her latest recommendation to not allow the children to see me is the fact that I moved from Carmel to the east side of Indy Which my former spouse describes as "The Ghetto" and unfit for children. Gonso agreed with him. Unfortunately, I could no longer afford my rent in Carmel. Gonso called the move"erractic" and told my ex to take away my spring break with our children and to not let me see them for the foreseeable future. Gonso and my ex do not have the right to keep my children from me because I cannot afford a country-club lifestyle in Carmel. My house has a large fenced in yard, new appliances, new carpet and is very clean and comfortable. There is nothing "ghetto" about it. I am a loving and good parent. I love my children and they love me. The children are angry and sad that they are no longer allowed to see me. I don't have money for a lawyer and Gonso and my ex know that - so what can I do? It is devastating. I know there are others with similar experience with Gonso - and thankfully they have had the resources necessary to fire her or ask the court to replace her and work with someone who is professional and who truly cares about children. Gonso's behavior is so bizarre and so wrong. I can only speculate as to why she makes such hurtful and biased recommendations. I would recommended anyone to avoid the trauma and drama that she brings to a family.
