Dr. Jorge L. Almodóvar-Suárez

He’s rude and condescending. He didn’t address my or my other provider’s concerns. He tries to prevent patients from seeing other neurologists for problems outside of his scope of practice after saying he doesn’t know how to treat the other issues and doesn’t deal with them. Been told by many other UNC providers that he has an internal reputation of being hard to work with and not accepting second opinions. He also seemingly wants to discontinue meds outside of his specialty and prescribed by other’s specialists that he has no business touching without even talking to the prescribing provider. Very dangerous provider.

After more than two years living with a big meningioma finally I found a Dr. who listens to me, he is smart and have a big heart. He treated me as a human. His compassion changed my life. Now I know I’m not alone, someone is taking care of me, and facing my symptoms would be easier from now on. Thank you Dr. Almodóvar!
