Dr. Jorge Clemente Casellas

The staff are all really friendly and helpful but Dr. Casellas himself I am very disappointed in. He does not take time to talk to his patients about any issues or even to give any information updates on treatment, frequently shows up late to the office despite having appointments scheduled for sometimes 40 mins before. He is very brief in checking on patients before handing them off to his assistants (which is honestly a blessing since they are much more accommodating) and doesn't seem to ever want to listen to anything his patients have to say. I would not recommend him to anyone needing orthodontic treatment.

My child's teeth are straight and Dr. Casellas did a fine job, so that is not an issue. The problem is I wish I would have know before committing to 3 years of monthly appointments how difficult the front office staff was. Ease of Appointment that was always a difficult issue. First of all they only accept appoints up until 4:15 because the office closes at 4:40pm and Saturday appointments, that is only the first Saturday of the month and the last available appointment time is 11:15am. The front office staff makes it very clear that they don't accept any clients after 4:15pm because things can run late and they won't work a minute later because, "we have to get out of here too". When trying to figure out a time that you don't have to take your child out of school (that gets old after a while) or if you work and can not possibly get to the office by 4:15 then you are basically screwed. The front office staff (not April) but the other two just stare at you as they just tell you… what time you can come in and when if you can't make that time they just look at you and say nothing. It is the weirdest thing in the world. The blond woman actually makes you feel as if you are a pain and really hates to take any sort of questions. The front office staff is just so difficult and it is not just one or twice it is every single time you have to go there. I think the best thing to do is call the office after hours and just listen to their voice message, that will explain so much about their attitude, confusing hours including when they take lunch at all different times during the week. The worst thing is they tell you straight up, "we do not return phone calls" so basically if you need to change or schedual an appointment and you call and they are on the other line, well you can call them back 5 times and if you keep getting the machine well you are screwed because they tell you straight that they will not return a phone call. So basically, if I had to it again I would not go to this office. Again, the ortho is fine, the girls who work on your child are wonderful, but that front office is a total nightmare. I do not recomment this office to anyone. Braces are a monthly committment that can last a few years. I truely wish I would have known about this office before I started down the road with this ortho. There are just to many good ortho's out there to be bullied by a front office staff that would rather be some place else than at their jobs.
