Dr. Jorge L Cuza, MD

My mother had an ankle fracture and the hospital we went to highly recommended surgery. Hearing that we contacted Dr.Cuza to discuss surgery, for he has been seeing my family for years. He implied that surgery wasn't required, and about 6 months of physical therapy could heal the bones. My mom went along and did the 6 months of physical therapy, due to Dr.Cuza saying it will result the same as surgery. After a couple of months of physical therapy my mom noticed the therapy not helping, waste of time and money, and overall still feeling pain and swelling. We decided to seek another doctor and figure out if her ankle fracture actually healed. The new doctor notified us that surgery was required and should've been performed months ago. Resulting that she now has developed arthritis because of her bones healing in the wrong position causing needed cartilage disposing. She now is getting steroid shots every 2 months to prevent too much pain/swelling because Dr.Cuza's false information.
