My husband had bladder cancer, so had his bladder removed and an illio conduit made from his intestines with an ostomy bag 11 months ago. He has had nothing but problems: urinary tract infections about every three weeks. He has been in the hospital at least ten times, staying five to seven times each stay. He has had to have stents put in numerous times because the ureters have collapsed. Additional pockets of fluid have developed in his abdomen that need to be drained. As I write this, he is again in the hospital with another UTI because the stent came out of the stoma and the urine has backed up in his kidney causing more infections. It never ends. If he could do it all over, he would take his chances and keep his bladder. They already got out all the cancer with the biopsy!

Ive been seeing Dr.Lockhart on and off for about 16 years. I used to do a lot of traveling around the country and I have seen a lot of urologists through out the years. The funny thing is that every single urologist that Ive seen from Tampa to North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, California, Texas, Illinois and many other states and even at the best hospital in the country Mayo CLinic.. Every urologist that Ive seen knows of Dr. Lockhart. Dr. Lockhart is AMAZING!! By far the best of all the rest. Hes the most knowledgeable and by far the best surgeon. Ive had a lot of work done on my urinary tract including having to have an artificial bladder made. and LOTS of Kidney stones... But Dr. Lockhart always gets the job done right the first time.. Hes incredible and I highly recommend anyone and everyone who needs a urologist to go see him!!!

After many many doctors, Dr Lockhart was able to diagnose my condition. After my kidney was removed, my life is entirely different---normal, happy, and healthy. He is so focused, it might seem like he isn't talking to you, but he is a genius at what he does...and isn't that who you want trying to save your life?

I am being treated for bladder cancer, and Dr. Lockhart was able to save my kidney in the process.
