Dr. Jorge Antonio Martinez, MD

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Martinez for about five years. We see Dr. Martinez annually for eye exams. Never have we been made to feel anything but welcomed as a patient, always treated with respect by both Dr. Martinez and his staff, and we've received the best of care while there in his office. Dr. Martinez takes the time to explain his procedures and answers all our questions (which probably results in people not getting in exactly when they have an appointment. Better to be treated like a patient, then herded thru like cattle in order to keep a deadline.) Dr Martinez is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I am blessed to have him as an eye doctor.

Dr. Martinez is very efficient! He is extremely kind and knowledgeable. His staff is extremely efficient and wonderfully nice. Yes I did wait and extended time after my scheduled appointment, but When I did get to see him he spend adequate time with me and did not get impatient when I needed several questions answered. I can only guess people are taking so much of his time during their appt that he gets behind. Also when I was in , I was told up front when I checked in that he was on call, so he will also be working in the emergencies as they come in. I would highly recommend Dr. Martinez to anyone. After surgery he personally called me to see how I was doing! Needing reading glass after my post of checks, the optician was great to work with, she has her certification hanging above her desk and is very knowledgeable as well. She know how to select and fit frames efficiently. As far as asking for a mirror????? There are three mirrors on the wall in between each frame board. Yes the… selection is small compared to walmart or costco, but the selection is high quality frames and lenses and they certainly are not a big office.

I Struggled for years with wearing glasses, and being a photographer they just seemed bulky and in the way. just could never get used to them, contact lenses were annoying and I was not a candidate for lasik. I was so discouraged as my vision was fuzzy for reading and for distance. Dr Martinez said there was still an option in having lens exchange surgery! I decided to do it and opted for multifocsl lens! Perfect outcome!! I am thrilled! No more glasses for distance and I can read the tiniest print too! Dr Martinez was patient with my concerns as he answered every question. The staff was amazing and beryfriendly. Surgery was done painlessly with attentive, loving care. I could not have asked for a better experience! This has been life changing as I now have 20/20 vision and I am ecstatic at how simple it all was! I would not hesitate on going ahead with Dr Martinez. I was thrilled with my results.

office atmosphere with staff- very cold reception-unfriendly staff frame selection poor.....and had to actually ask for a mirror to see self.... lab service very poor- really don't know how to fit properly there for glasses-wont go back

In my opinion the doctor and his staff need to treat patients with a great deal more respect. Doctor downplays surgical risks in my opinion. I think he would make a great used car salesman as it seems to me selling surgeries is what he is best at.
