On March 7th 2017 I flue from GA to NYC to accompany my mother to her neurologist appointment because Mr Acevedo diagnosed her with Alzheimer's which he later claimed it was Dementia. It's all the same to me. Worried about my mothers diagnosis my brother and I decided to speak to Mr. Acevedo. The minute we walked into his office... (He rudely ordered we not close the door because his office is like a match box and it would get hot. Sorry but everyone's medical condition is private and your doctor is to speak to the patient at closed doors.) he was extremely aggressive, defensive and rude. He asked what we wanted. I introduced myself and went on to explain we just wanted more information on his diagnosis to my mother. What type of test were made, why he prescribed the medicine he prescribed, basically we wanted information to help our mother and learn from a professional/expert what we were to look forward to with her condition. Mr. Acevedo was unprofessional, unethical, rude and… disrespectful... My brother whom is a retired first grade Detective from the NYPD was beyond himself at the treatment we received from a MD calling himself a professional. He never let us talk to him without attacking every we wanted to say. He would speak over us and would never let us get a full sentence out. My brother, fed up and insulted by his conduct, said, "We're done here. Let's go." Before exiting the little office my brother informed Mr. Acevedo of the negative reviews he has on the internet and that every word was proven to be true. Mr. Acevedo gave us the finger and told us to get out ??????????!!! Seriously!!?? The finger! A medical professional! A neurologist affiliated with Saint Luke's Roosevelt Hospital!!! (They shouldn't give this disrespectful and unethical so called doctor any business) No way! When we exited the office, two more patients went outside to tell us he was rude and disrespectful to them as well. The man is an animal. He likes to belittle and humiliate his patients because the majority don't know English or their rights as legal resident/citizen of this country. Please be careful with this man. By the way, he clearly stated he does no testing at his office. Of course I could go more into detail about the incident but it would take me all day to write. He's dangerous, be careful with your loved ones, please. We filed a complaint with NYSDOH (New York state department of health) please don't be afraid of this man and do the same. He shouldn't be practicing medicine. He scared my mother with his tone of voice and disrespect. He's a disgrace. Horrible man.

My mother was having severe stroke symptoms. He didn't detect it. She had all the signs FAST. And he Said come back for electric shock treatment. She needed surgery 3 days later at the ER. Now she has brain damage.
