Dr. Jose Maria Alanis-Amezcua, MD

Terrible !!! El peor “médico” que he conocido! La peor experiencia con este señor, todo el embarazo se la pasó asustándome me puso en reposo innecesariamente, me decía que tenía complicaciones y me cobraba más cada consulta. Afortunadamente siempre seguí viendo a mi ginecólogo en Mexico que me tranquilizaba, en mi semana 37 me invento que mi bebe tenía una inserción velamentosa en el cordón umbilical y que si no me hacía cesárea y nacía por parto mi bebe se podría desangrar y morir por dicha inserción, además decía que estaba muy estrecha para aspirar a tener parto. Obviamente con esa noticia de la inserción me puse muy mal, con muchísimo miedo y deprimida, por fortuna fui al hospital Mary birch donde nació mi hija y me atendió un especialista en embarazos de alto riesgo quien me hizo un estudio, mi bebe no tenía nada, tmb mi doctor en Mexico quien me vio todo el embarazo me dijo que no era verdad. El doctor Alanís solo quería hacerme cesárea para quitarse el trabajo y sacarme dinero… cobrandome más, lo dejé y obviamente casi no me devolvió nada del parto que ya me había cobrado, en mi opinión es cero profesional. En mi semana 38 Me fui al sharp rees-steely group donde me atendieron doctores súper profesionales mi hija nació por parto perfectamente a las 41 semanas, a los 7 meses de su nacimiento me volví a embarazar y mi segundo bebé nació perfecto también por parto. Bendito Dios deje a ese doctor a tiempo, sino mi Niña hubiera nacido por cesárea a la semana 38 y no tendría a mi otro bebé además de que mi cuerpo se hubiera sometido a una operación innecesaria solo por la falta de profesionalismo de este señor. Ojalá les sirva leer mi experiencia para que no caigan a la primera en lo que les dice. Después con varias conocidas que se atendieron con el indague como habían nacido sus bebés y curiosamente todas habían sido cesárea. Esa fue mi experiencia, jamás lo recomendaría.

PRIMERO QUE NADA DESDE QUE LLEGAS A LA OFICINA , LO PRIMERO QUE TE PIDEN ES QUE PAGUES 500 DOLLS SIN CONOCER AL DOCTOR , LA ENCARGADA DE LO FINANCIERO, NO SABE TRATAR A LOS PACIENTES , ME ISO PASAR MUCHOS CORAJES Y MALOS RATOS DURANTE MI EMBARAZO , ME MANDO A COLECCIONES POR UNA CITA QUE PERDI , POR QUE CAMBIO MI CITA EN UN MENSAJE QUE NUNCA RECIBI . EL DOCTOR ME INDUCIO EL PARTO CUANDO TODAVIA NO ERA FECHA , SOLO POR ACOMODARME A SU AGENDA , Y ESTO ME PROVOCO UNA TEMPERATURA ALTA , Y TUVIERON QUE HACERME CESAREA ., LO CUAL DOBLO LOS GASTOS DE SUS HONORARIOS . PARECE SER MUY BUENA PERSONA , PERO NO LO ES ES UN MAL DOCTOR NOOOO LO RECOMIENDOO PESIMO TRATO . SEP 2010 ME INDUJO EL PARTO CUANDO ANTES DE TIEMPO CUANDO NO TENIA DOLORES NI NADA ,

Went to the office, did NOT feel safe in the area. I was appauled at how run down the office was, and how out of date it was. I went in for a doctor's appointment, saw the nurse and let them know I would be leaving and not continuing the appointment. The office staff was fine with me leaving, gave me all my money back, and I never heard from them again. UNTIL I got a bill for $165 for a cancellation. I called the office multipule times and never got a straight answer, or a call back. Two weeks later, I get a letter in the mail from a collection agency. Contacting my lawyer, because I'm almost positive it's not legal to send someone to collections so early. Now I'm dealing with a huge mess with the collection agency (who thankfully has been very understanding). Unless you want a huge mess from their unprofessional office staff, do not go see this doctor!

Dr. Alanis was absolutely amazing. He was wonderful during the delivery and visits. However, his wife is horrible. She is the receptionist and billing lady. If you switch your insurance companies, BE SURE TO HAVE THE INFORMATION AT THE TIME OF YOUR NEXT APOINTMENT. Otherwise she will turn you in to collections and will not receive your calls, nor call you back. They keep track of every call, apointment, concern on computer, yet when we faxed them the information letting them know what insurance company to bill, they changed their "facts" on the computer. Luckily for us, we saved every piece of paper sent to us by them. I would love to go back to Dr. Alanis for future children, but will not be returning to a very unprofessional and unreliable staff.

Yes, Dr. Alanis is not a cheap Dr. Im paying full price because we live in mexico and dont have insurance, but we dont care, we made an effort because he is very good on what he do,may be some billing process with other people were a nightmare, but have nothing to do with his Dr. skills, actually we are having our second child with him, im 32 weeks now, and we are happy because he take care of me and the baby very well, he look for me not to gain much weight, and explain me every question i have in every appointment, he take all the time i need to understand what he say. And as i said, he is not a cheap doctor, but it worth it, he have payment facilities, with our first child he even gave us a discount because he knew we had financial trouble,he made an exception and we were very grateful for that.Im gonna have a very justified C section and im happy that is with him.

BUENO PARA EMPEZAR EL DR. ALANIS COBRA, POR QUE TIENE QUE COBRAR NOOO?? EN RESPUESTA A LA OTRA PERSONA QUE COMENTO.SINCERAMENTE, PARA MI ES UN EXCELENTE DR. PASE POR 2 CESAREAS CON EL, LAS DOS FUERON MUY NECESARIAS, NO POR QUE QUISIERA COBRAR MAS, HONESTAMENTE QUEDE MUY FELIZ DE HABERLO CONOCIDO, FUE PARTE DE MI VIDA, ME TRATO SIEMPRE CON CARIO, AMABILIDAD, COMPRENSION, PACIENCIA, PROFESIONALISMO, TODO SU EQUIPO FUERON MUY LINDOS CONMIGO Y MI FAMILIA, DE VERDAD QUE LE AGRADEZCO MUCHISISIMO POR TODO, MI SEGUNDO PARTO FUE DIFICIL Y LOGRO SACARLO COMO LO QUE ES UN EXCELENTE DOCTOR Y JAMAS OLVIDARE SU MIRADA DE PREOCUPACION CUANDO PASE POR ALGO GRAVE EN MI RECUPERACION, CON ELLA ME EXPRESO SU CARIO REBASADO DE UN DOCTOR COMUN A ALGUIEN CON MUCHO CORAZON.DR. Me recomendaron este doctor y desde el telefono te dicen q no te reciben a menos que pagues $200 cada visita hasta llegar a $2500 sin importarle q tipo de seguro tengas. Organiza sus citas de manera en que pueda cobrarte lo mas posible, yo acudi por embarazo y las primeras 2 citas ni se molesto en revisarme nada, una fue para hablar sobre alimentacion y otra de cambios del cuerpo durante el embarazo, por cada uno de esos chistecitos cobra 200 dolares. La tercera cita con ultrasonido me salio en $350 todo en un plazo de 3 semanas. Ya a mi ultima cita hable para avisar que no estaba comoda y que me cambiaria de medico, por supuesto que no se les ocurrio preguntar la razon sino decirme que pronto me hablarian para decir cuanto les debo y por si fuera poco me cobran $60 extras por una cita que yo quede en confirmar si iba a ir o no . Aqui lo primero es cobrarte, no siguen un procedimiento con tu seguridad y la de tu bebe en mente sino con sus finanzas como prioridad. Me cambie a UCSD y la… diferencia en la calidad de atencion es inmensa y mucho mejor

My only contact with this physician was he assisted in my C section so I don't know much about his personal services and care but he subcontracts his billing through an outside firm which HE NEEDS TO FIRE. They billed the wrong insurance for the FULL amount even after they had been paid by my current insurance. Wouldn't billing another company for services you have already received payment for be considered FRAUD! They didn't return phone calls in a timely manner taking a week to do so nor do they identify themselves proper on the phone when you leave a message or on the bills they send out. This has been a nightmare toe get cleaned up and I still haven't gotten it resolved. Unless you like lots of red tape and headaches run away from this doctor at least until he cleans up his administrative staff and billing department!

THIS DR. WANTS ONLY MONEY, DO NOT CARE FOR PATIENT, I HOPE JUSTICE GET HIM SUN, BEFORE HE CONTINUE WITH HIS MALPRACTICE.
