Dr. Jose Luis Benitez, MD

My son was 16 , he pressured me into putting my son on riddoilin . With no testing he was the dr and new best , My son is no longer with me .

I have read some of the negative comments about this doctor and was surprised when I actually got to see him and discovered he was a great physician, extremely knowledgeable, and took his time with me. Some people who write the reviews on here make this doctor look so bad, when if fact he is the best I have seen. Dr. Benitez keep doing what you are doing, since you can never please everyone. I truly appreciate you as my doctor and thank you for finally being able to find out what was wrong with me.

I was in and out in 3 minutes without being given a chance to talk about any health issues, much less asked about any. Despite a recorded history of blood pressure related headaches, he didn't check blood pressure or let me talk about resurgence of headaches. Will not be coming back.

Very good and easy going. Friendly and knowledgeable and make you feel comfortable.

After reading all of these reviews I am not at all surprized that he has more negative remarks than any one doctor should have. I was seeing his partner Dr. Ruggeri I requested to see another doctor in the same office. Dr. Benitez is worse than he was.. Not once but several times he did not have my complete prescipation list or has changed my dosage without even telling me. This last time was my insulin. How can you changed a patients dosage of insulin with out telling them or did he even look in my chart to see how much I was even taking. I have questioned him, asking if he was even a doctor or allowed to practice in the United States. Please do what I plan to do and find another doctor.

Dr. BENITEZ was very nuce and eased my anxiety. He has good bedside manners and made me feel comfortable. Excellent doctor

This Doctor is easy to talk to, compassionate and takes his time. Has called me in a timely manner with my lab results. Awesome doc. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Dr. Jose Benitez is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever been to. I was in a rush to find a doctor to renew my birth control when I moved to Providence from Boston and he was the only primary care doctor available. During the checkup, he proceeded to tell me that as long as I didn't smoke, I was healthy. Then he showed me pictures of cats on his phone. So unprofessional! If you're in a hurry to get a prescription, go for it, but otherwise, avoid him at all costs.

"Dr." Benitez is an extremely poor excuse for a health professional. My husband hurt his back and got dependent on the opioid pain pills that this "doctor" prescribed to him like they were candy. I had to make several phone calls to have the prescriptions stopped. My husband had to go away to a Rehab to save his life. This person is an incompetent and uncaring doctor.
