Dr. Jose Ignacio Cardenas, MD

Very knowledgeable Dr. Lots of experience.

This Dr does not explain anything it’s like asking questions about your health offends him. His office is very bias against non Hispanic women. He is very dismissive and spends very little time with patients. I do not feel comfortable in his abilities to care for me and my growing baby. Desperately looking for another OBGYN.

Avoid this place at all costs! First off, the parking outside is ridiculous. Your appointment with the Doctor, even though he is very nice, is lacking. You wait for about 30 minutes to see the Doctor for maybe 5 minutes while his staff does all the work. My husband did a job transfer during my time with this office which meant that our insurance was switching. My husbands insurance stated that the office should be able to bill us and then the bill be given to our new insurance. The office refused and wanted the full payment. Now that we have moved from Orlando to Clearwater due to the job relocation, they are making it difficult for me to get my records so that I am able to switch to a new Doctor here. The new Doctor needs to see them to see where we were at and it is preventing me from getting an appointment. I faxed, per their request instead of email, my record request for last week and all it requires is for the Doctor to sign the paper. Then his office staff takes care of… processing the request. I had to call their office multiple times to get it done and I called my potential new Doctors office to ask them to call as well. What a disaster of an office. This makes me nervous for anyone that choice to handle their delivery with this office.

Su disposición a responder preguntas sobre dudas del paciente, es cero. No te ve a la cara. No investiga sobre los exámenes que el paciente se ha hecho, entonces acostumbra mandarlos a hacer dos veces... me di cuenta de eso y le avisé que eso ya estaba listo. Así ocurre con muchas. El personal es agradable y educado. El no siquiera intenta ser gentil.

Dr Jose I Cardenas is an excellent Obstetrician in Orlando

I have been his pt since I moved to Orlando 5 years ago. He is a really busy Ob/Gyn who always has a great actitud no mather how busy he could be. I delivered my baby at FH Orlando and he got there in less than 15 min for my emergency cesarean. I recommend him all the way!

Dr Jose Cardenas delivered my 4 kids in the past 10 years. He knows his specialty very well. Always with a good actitud no matters how busy he is. Recommended all the way.

Dr. Cardenas rushes through his exams, didn't greet my husband or 1yr old daughter. His equipment is outdated. When you ask a question, its a hassle to get an answer. He speaks to his staff in Spanish ( I am an RN and provide an interpreter for my Spanish speaking patients) I would expect the same from my provider. The RN is rude. I was borderline hypertensive everytime on her battery operated walgreens brand BP machine. I wouldn't trust him to deliver my pizza let alone my child!
