Treated newborn in hospital, misdiagnosed causing dangerous medication to be administered, did not properly wean off medication,, staff lied when asked if baby was medicated, Dr made no attempt to contact me prior to misdiagnosis to discuss possible reasons for symptoms or to gain permission to treat with method used, was not given opportunity to receive a second opinion

The only good thing about doctor R is that he accepts calls after hours and speaks Spanish. His office is always empty but it still takes entirely to long at each visit. Was given mess for my son that did nothing to help the problem and became combative and argumentative when asked about it. Spoke with my childhood pediatrician who is now retired and she told us to try something else that worked great. After letting doctor R know about this he belittled my former doctor and said that she had no idea what she was talking about. This and the way he behaved gave me some serious doubts. Our last visit was the final straw. Upon entering the office i remarked to my wife, as I did each time we entered dr R's office that it looked very unclean. It appeared as though it hadn't been vacuumed in a number of weeks. Then after our visit concluded we were talking to the receptionist. My wife screamed and jumped because as we were talking a giant flying cockroach flew onto her leg. This was one of… 2 large roaches that could be seen. All in all we never had a good experience with doctor R. After changing pediatricians I began to speak with other people who had many of the same experiences that my family did. I have read some of the other reviews and a few have been ok. I would advise to stay away.
