Dr. Jose San Miguel-Ruiz is a highly skilled spine surgeon, who presents with empathy and kindness. He excels in every step of his medical evaluation and treatment protocol. Please note that I had scheduled an appointment with Dr. San Miguel for a second opinion of my long-standing issues with my spinal condition, because I did not trust the diagnosis and treatment plan of the first surgeon who treated me. For this review, I will not name the doctor who treated me initially. My intent here, is to edify Dr. San Miguel-Ruiz for his excellent surgical skills and professionalism. During my first appointment with Dr. San Miguel, he presented my husband and I with superior x-rays of my spine, and he explained his findings with extensive detail. The previous doctor had claimed that I had arthritis throughout my spine, which was causing me pain. However, Dr. San Miguel stated the area that that was causing me pain was restricted to a vertebra that had slipped forward in my lower spine.… Dr. San Miguel’s diagnosis confirmed what I was experiencing, as this was the only area in my back that hurt. My husband and I were extremely impressed with Dr. San Miguel’s extensive overview of my situation, and we decided to go ahead with the surgery. Dr. San Miguel was highly supportive leading up to the surgery and following its completion. My recovery from this surgery has been excellent and my quality of life has improved greatly. In fact, my condition has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Dr. San Miguel to anyone who is seeking to restore their spinal health.
