This doctor will NOT listen to your needs. He dismissed me after 2 visits, me talking about suicide and having VERY severe depression, crying all the time,. Gave me 15 days of Wellbutrin knowing that you are not to suddenly stop this drug, he refuses to treat me anymore. If anything happens I hope my wife sues him for everything he has! I feel totally hopeless now, no one cares!

I must disagree with the the older comments. I have never encountered rudeness or belligerence from anyone there. I run an office and encounter demanding people who insist I must help them -- they are shown the door happily or angrily, it's their choice. OK. Psychiatry is a strange science that requires a doctor to diagnosis you through questions and answers. The diagnosis then relies on whether you are truthful and open. I doubt anyone is truthful and open on initial visits because the doctor is a stranger. So he makes an early diagnosis and prescribes standard meds. You return and tell him how the meds worked. Should they stay the same, increase, change to something else? My main problem was, having never gone to a psych before, my unfamiliarity with the question/answer process. In a sense you are self-diagnosing. And then he does that thing all psychiatrists do by answering questions with a question. Or asking you what version of a drug you want when you have… never heard of the drug. Those are simple things you get used to and can educate yourself on symptoms, treatments, drug reactions and interactions -- there's this thing called the internet now. One last thing, his hourly rate is higher than mine. Ouch! Well worth it though. I came in off the ledge. I still see that ledge often but between my meds and a lot of self education I can handle it. It's redundant, but it's all in your head.

I had very simple questions before making a long drive out to the Dr. but the people answering the phone were so belligerent and didn't even answer them, so I cancelled my appointment as I was scared of what would happen once I got there. At least I hope they cancelled my appointment. the second person I spoke to didn't even say hello. Just started yelling, I don't let you speak to Dr. before you see him. I said are you talking to me. I said I really just wanted to speak to someone other than who I was speaking to since he wouldn't let me finish my questions and therefore how can he answer them. She said I don't want you criticizing my staff what do you want. I tried to explain then she said I don't need to know all that. Um, it's my question. I need to know. But if can't answer that, then cancel my appointment. Then she asked my name!!! He hadn't even given her that. So I gave my last name and she said o.k. you're out of here. I was told I only needed 24 hours and this… is 48 hours so I just hope it actually got cancelled. What a headache.

I was given large amounts of meds for a problem i didnt have he up the dose soo high my ins wouldnt pay so he would give me had fulls of bottles of the med to make up for what ins didnt pay for . He had me on so many meds i was in a walking coma for 3 yrs i had so many side effects from it he didnt even care he blamed it on my other drs who where all trying to find out what was wrong w me ! Tons of test mri cat scans blood work ect. The staff was so rude and mean & would charge u if they had to call in a med to the phar $ 25. Nice I hope he had a great time in hawaii , and all the other places the drug comp sent him for giving out there meds to people who dont need it ! Know i m with a real dr and on the right med and fell great . Please get a second opion every time i had to learn the hard way and lost 3 years of my life and watching my child grow up . Its worth the xtra $ & time for a second opion i would do anything to get those three years back!
