Dr. Joseph Michael Antario, MD

I was diagnosed with Bladder cancer in September 2021. Dr. Antario acted quickly to remove the tumor. My cancer is now in remission. I still go for treatments to prevent the tumor from returning. Dr. Antario and his staff are outstanding. Wish I wasn’t in this situation, but…I actually enjoy going to their office for treatments. Who says that? I am totally confident that I will be around for years under Dr. Antario’s care. I highly recommend Dr. Antario.

I been seeing dr Antario for 4 years now and if your only complaint is the waiting time then that’s ridiculous , people wait on lines for hours to get the latest in new shoes lol. So waiting a bit to see a great dr who cares about his patients is not a lot to ask for , that being said I find dr Antario to be a no nonsense dr who tell s it like it is and keeps on top of his patients needs. I see Dr. Antario for kidney stones. He doesn't have an assistant, so I always get to see the doctor. I have had a kidney stone removal, a stent placement, and stent removal. Dr. Antario is the best doctor I have every visited. He spends his time with his patients, takes the time to explain why they are having pain and what procedures he will be performing. He took the time to figure out why I was having kidney stones and put me on medication to eliminate the problem after I had visited 3 other doctors that had given me no answers. I never felt like a number, I truly felt (and feel) like Dr. Antario cares about my wellbeing. I have been going to Dr. Antario for 3 years now and every time I have seen him and been given time to ask my questions. The only wish I have would be that Dr. Antario was a general doctor so I could see him for everything.

I took my mother, who is over 70 and ill, to this office for approximately 5 separate appointments. Each time we were made to wait an unreasonable amount of time. She was never seen by the doctor less than 45 minutes AFTER her scheduled appointment, and more often it was 60 minutes plus. Two weeks ago we ended up walking out having not been seen because, again, we were made to wait for over an hour. I had to call the office MULTIPLE times to request the doctor call us with my mother's test results. He finally returned my call a week later at 9pm, never offering any sort of apology for our missed appointment, or for the delay in getting me her results. As far as the office itself, the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. I’ve had to call multiple times to request bills, as well as call multiple times to acquire medical records. The woman in billing has an absolutely awful bedside manner, speaks to people in an incredibly rude tone, and is as little help as possible.… Aside from the aides and office staff, who are friendly and attentive, this facility is terrible. If I could give it negative stars, I would. Save yourself and go to a more competent doctor.

I wait an hour and a half past my scheduled appointment time, every time I come to see the doctor. Needs to stop overbooking patients.

Had a prostate biopsy done 7 or 8 years ago. He told me that he would have to extract a tissue sample. He took 24 extractions which is double the norm. One of those extractions hurt a great deal. I believe he hit a nerve cluster. Since then, I had a problem with E.D. I talked to him about it, he said that can't happen. He tried to pass it off as result of a low testosterone level. I didn't have the problem prior to the procedure. I found German research that says it can. I dropped it off to him to review. He never got back to me. My feeling is that he just didn't care or was afraid of being sued. I went to 2 other Urologists that were shocked at the number of extractions and confirmed the German research stating that over 20 extractions have been found to increase the likelihood of causing E.D. and the the painful extraction was him most likely hitting a nearby nerve cluster. His unwillingness to help after the problem he created was disappointing. The other Urologists have helped me.

No nonsense, straight to the point, doesn't dilly-dally around. Gets it done! What more would you want?

Don't want to go into my personal medical problems ....the doctor and his staff all seemed so great.....until I didn't and my family doctor didnt agree with him. His nurse that takes calls....very rude when I started to question. The antibiotic they were going to give me was one that has caused positive cdef.in me twice before. It was take it or go elsewhere......no return call from the doctor at all...as far as i know not even a return call to my family doctor. The fax they sent my family doctor of the cultured urine and antibiotics that would work was as my doctors office said "incomprehensible" Antario let me stay sick ....in need of antibiotics. ..unless I would take antibiotics that would cure one thing but give me something much worse and possibly life threatening. I Wil find another doctor....one who doesnt think he's God and one with a nurse manager who doesn't think she's Jesus Christ. I wouldn't give 1 star but I had to put at least one so I could comment.
