Dr. Joseph Gregory Bonanno

Ended up scheduling an appointment for a follow up visit and antibiotic shot with Dr Bonnano as he was the only available physician at the 108th avenue office as my regular pediatrician (which is part of the same practice) is across town. Didn’t want to drag the baby 30 miles across town for a shot. When Dr. Bonnano came in he had an attitude. Asked me why I didn’t just take the baby back to the Arcadia office. When I told him I lived around the corner he said “oh so this was for your convenience then?” Then he asks why we are giving the baby antibiotics shots and says “so was this your idea (to give him the shots)? Do you think he needs another shot?” I said you are the medical professionals and I’m going by what the recommendation was. Overall, he made me feel unwelcome and that he was trying to belittle me for the course of treatment prescribed by his colleague. I do not feel he had the best interests of my child in mind. If he had a problem with his colleagues treatment plan… he should have taken it up with him rather than take it out on me. I will never take my gold ten to see him again even if he is the only provider available.
