Joseph Boyer, Jr., MD, FACS, is a board-certified thoracic and general surgeon who directs the AdventHealth Cancer Institute's Thoracic Cancer Program and the Heart, Lung, and Vascular Institute Robotics & Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery Program. He is proficient in the use of advanced technologies, including video-assisted and robotic techniques, to provide highly delicate and minimally invasive surgeries within the heart and chest. His medical specialties include aortic valve replacement, mitral valve repair, off-pump and beating heart coronary artery surgery, endovascular aortic surgery, atrial fibrillation surgery and surgery to address esophageal cancers. Dr Boyer is very thorough, courteous and empathetic. He takes time to review your test results and go over any issues, or questions that you may have. I would highly recommend Dr Joseph Boyer.

When facing open heart surgery, fear is a daily companion. I researched cardiac surgeons and found Dr. Boyer ranks in the top 1% according to US News. In person, he exudes calmness and reassurance. After interviewing 5 surgeons, I opted for Dr. Boyer within minutes of meeting him. Upon waking after a triple bypass, I smiled and said "thank YOU!" Harrison is his PA and is like the brother we all wish we had. In short, Dr. Boyer is the best of the best!

Dr. Boyer told me that I had lung cancer, ordered the pet scan and ct scan to confirm location and rebotically removed my upper left lung lobe. I would have been home in a few days if it hadn't been for a UTI with a fever.He is the best.

He is a wonderfull Doctor, takes enough time to explian the procedures ti his patients and famailies. He performed a very difficult surgery on one of my family members and all the care we received from him and his staff was just wonderfull.

Dr Boyer took care of 3 aorta anerysm my mom had. My mom was 67yrs old and had health problems all her life he took care of her like it was his on life. Love God and Dr Boyer their were my mom savior. Thanks You're the best
