Dr. Joseph Edward Cangas, MD

Both of my sons were in Dr. Cangas's care for years. I found him to be truly caring and took his time to listen. His staff is great too, and that speaks volumes about the practice in general.

Doctor Cangas was kind at the outset but showed himself to be rude and unprofessional as time went on. He operates the Facebook page like a teenager with no awareness that there are real people with real feelings and concerns behind the screen—confusing behavior for a doctor regarded for his willingness to dialogue and accept patients with varying perspectives. Additionally, though I myself am church-going, I was uncomfortable with the way he peddled his faith in the office, as though his religious life somehow makes him better qualified to care for our children’s physical health. The persona he projects and his true care for clients are incongruous, in my experience.

Dr. Cangas is very rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. He runs the office Facebook page and is constantly going off on the parents of the patients. He can’t handle any type of criticism or suggestions to better improve the office. I have seen multiple screen shots of him talking down to people, telling them to not come back to his office, calling them names, etc.

We are always able to be seen same day for sick visits. Treatment is always explained and follow up by the fabulous nurses is exceptional

Dr. Cangas and his staff are very professional. I was able to get in to see him quickly, had very little wait time and my child was very well taken care of. He genuinely cares about our kids.

I am really surprised by some off the comments on here and feel that something isn't quite right.. I am low income and my children are on medicaid and they have never been treated poorly nor have we ever felt judged! Dr Cangas and all of his staff have always been so friendly and professional and my children love going to see them! His office does have the great small town atmosphere and when I call to schedule an appointment and introduce myself on the phone they immediately know who I am and who my children are.. the kids are not just patients there or another chart. He and his staff work very hard to be professional and be acquainted with all patients. I've never had a single complaint about the doctor, staff, or treatment during the last 5+ years that my children have been going there.
