Dr. Joseph Disanto, MD

Joseph DiSanto, M.D., fondly known as Dr. Joe, has been in practice for more than thirty years. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, completed his Pediatric Residency at the Wilmington Medical Center in Wilmington Delaware, is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, is a Member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, and is a founding partner of Brandywine Pediatrics. Dr. Joe is married to Brandywine Pediatrics' lactation consultant, Karin Y. DiSanto, and together they support the breastfeeding family. They are very involved in educating other professionals in breastfeeding management. Dr. Joe has been the pediatric consultant to Wilmington's Birth Center since its creation. He is a member of the active staff at both Christiana Care Health Services and the Nemours duPont Hospital for Children and enjoys helping to educate residents from the Jefferson/Nemours Pediatric Residency Program, …and medical students from both Jefferson Medical School and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Joe and Karin have two grandchildren, and two dogs, and enjoy cooking, traveling and family, and are active members of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.
