Dr. Joseph Gerard Fanelli, MD

I can't rate him based on meeting him since he never spoke to me but must think he's God and can diagnose with out evaluation of his St. Catherine's inpatients. Falsely diagnosed mind you and over medicated with antipsychotics to the point I was catatonic. I have PTSD which mimics several symptoms of more severe illnesses when in a disassociated state. IMy insurance company was not to keen on finding out he billed them for evaluation and therapy he or any of his staff did not perform. Medicare doesn't take kindly to fraud. No wonder his license in Illinois was revoked.

First draft I've ever seen who truly listens and addresses your concern.matches med with your issues and likes to follow up quickly. Truly wants to help u. I was very lucky to find.

Dr. Fanelli himself is great. Overall, though I only give him 3 stars because his staff. I love the dr, but his staff honestly makes me want to find a different dr. I had a few appointments scheduled & each one they reschedule. I still haven't seen him yet and it's been 4 months now! When I call the hospital sometimes they're rude! It's definitely not a pleasant experience, I will most likely find another psychiatrist because the staff. I believe it's important to be sensitive to patients that are seeing a psychiatrist because we know they have issues, but being rude is not a way of helping.

He is charming and talks a good game. These two characteristics explain his bipolar reviews. I experienced the doctor as described in both the positive and negative reviews. Unfortunately, the negative caused years of painful psychological healing. Fortunately, I passed through the pain whole and well.

Very easy to talk to takes time to listen to me.

Dr. Fanelli always spent time with me,explained medications to me,was always nice to me(it was his staff that was rude) and his diagnosis was very accurate.

Dr. Fanelli is a "drug" pusher and a quack... he over medicates his patients instead of trying to help them.
