Dr. Joseph Michael Gentile

Absolutely thrilled with Dr. Gentile’s surgery and follow up associated with my shoulder. Dr. Gentile is a truly gifted professional. He also has a great staff who go out of their way to make sure that you feel welcomed and comfortable. The Dr. answered all of my questions and concerns. I highly recommend him for any help that you might need with orthopedics.

I was not satisfied with the treatment I received. I had to go to another doctor to get the proper treatment. I will never recommend this office. They had me going to a spine doctor and it was nothing WRONG WITH MY SPINE!! I was very disappointed ?? i told him several times what bothering me, yo me just ignored my issues.

Dr. Gentile was very dismissive while explaining the problems I was experiencing. I went to him for both a back and shoulder problem. After visiting a couple times for my back, I was referred to a spine specialist. That’s how is should work, right? Well, not before his dismissive attitude showed itself. It took me going to pt for a month to finally be referred. I mentioned to him I had a bulging disc years ago and I thought that might be the issue I was having. He told me those heal themselves. After pt didn’t help with my pain, I was then referred to a spine specialist. What a waste of time and money. Wait, I was crazy enough to go back after having shoulder pain that wouldn’t go away. They took xrays, of course. Everyone (X-ray tech, PA, and Dr. Gentile) asked if I had injured my shoulder before. They clearly saw an abnormality in the xrays. They gave me a cortisone shot and sent me on my way. I revisited about 5weeks later after having excruciating pain. He was again very… dismissive. Spent all of 3 minutes in the room without touching my shoulder. He cancelled a future appointment, told me to take Aleve and again, sent me on my way. Another waste of time and money. Not to mention, I have been in pain since the beginning of the year. Since then, I followed up with another doctor. My shoulder has to be surgically repaired. Stay away from Gentile. He doesn’t listen and will brush you off and send you on your way.

Dr. Gentile spent about 5 minutes with me, told me from the Xray he could tell it was a torn meniscus. When I told him I had none of those symptoms he dismissed me. He never touched my knee. I was not pleased at all and told the front desk.

I was very pleased by the result of my recent total knee replacement. I have had a rapid recovery and have very good mobility. He was highly recommended by another ortho surgeon.

I had been sent to Dr. Gentile( by My Family Doctor) to get an evaluation as I have been suffering from Chronic Migraines with Neck and Shoulder Pain for many years. I was most impressed with his caring assessment in starting me on Physical Therapy,that consisted of the beginning of my Manual Therapy to help with my ongoing symptoms related to my health concerns. I might add his ability to think outside of the entire chronic issues and how I might be able to function better has made a vast improvement in my pain management and mobility.

Dr Gentile did an open reduction of an arm fracture and after having an increase in pain post physical therapy and a marked decrease in mobility in same arm I was discharged from his care when he said "the bone is healing". Had MRI by another provider and muscles were torn free and atrophied. Thanks for giving the WORST overall medical care I have ever received.
