Dr. Joseph F. Heidelman grew up in Indianapolis. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Indiana University in 1976. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, with distinction, from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1980 and was a member of the National Dental School Honor Society—Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Indiana University Medical Center and Methodist Hospital.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Clinical Associate Professor at the Indiana University School of Dentistry and Interim Chair and Program Director at the Indiana University Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In addition, Dr. Heidelman has published articles in peer reviewed journals, serves as the Clinical Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Hospital Dentistry at Indiana University Hospital and was previously the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon on the Craniofacial …team at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis. Dr. Heidelman is also a fellow in the International college of Dentists and the American college of dentists.
Dr. Heidelman enjoys golf and swimming. He and his wife, Denyce, have two children: Heather and Joshua.
