Dr. Joseph Carl Lamancusa, MD

I have been so pleased with the care I have received from Dr. Lamancusa. He has been attentive, kind, worked on my medical needs and gotten me to a much healthier place thanks to him treating my medical condition! I am so thankful!

He is always prompt, friendly and spends adequate time with me. His office staff is easy to set appointments and get refills. I've been going there for several years.

He deserves 0 stars. This guy is one of the worst doctors around. He doesn’t care about giving care to the fullest extent to his patients or trying to offer help/guidance to their families. He just cares about money. My family will never recommend him to anyone, ever. If you need a neurologist, go elsewhere.

He spends little time talking with you, trying to understand your condition. I have epilepsy and went to see him all he did was give me the prescription I needed and a printout from online discussing my condition. He really didn't care and he definitely did not want to explain anything. His office is always so busy and his staff is rude.

been his patient for 10 yrs. likeable guy, but just pushes meds. not a thought about P.T or side effects of meds.same exam each time I see him. and he will not admit he could be wrong about anything. he really is not too observant. he is overworked and his patients pay for it. like I said likeable guy a bit arrogant. I will see a different neuro for treatment because MS IS GETTING WORSE but will also keep Lamancusa to have a back up

I have had other Neurologist's in the seventeen years of my illness. I have never had a doctor that is as caring, listens, and so knowledgeable! Dr La Mancusa MD makes you feel comfortable where you can be open and not afraid to tell them what is happening to your body. I use to be terrified when it was time to see my prior Neurologist. My very first visit he made me at ease and listen to what I had to say. There was a new medication that is helping me. I'm so blessed and feel so wonderful Dr. La Mancusa MD is my Neurologist!

Dr Lamancusa called me at work to tell me I had MS. That is not the kind of news that someone needs to hear that way. When I went in for the appt after the diagnosis I brought my boyfriend of 6 months with me. He told us not to ever get married because it would be bad for my boyfriend's finances. That was not the kind of advice I needed at that time. I have not been to him since. He is very loud and really thinks he is almighty and you can not find a better dr. You can!

Dr. Lamancusa's staff is very rude. They never smile. I was four minutes late for my last appointment and she was incredibly rude to me. They are never nice during phone calls or in person. They do not call to remind on appointments that have been set up six months in advance then blow you off. As for the doctor, he is incredibly loud. This is not the best thing for a person like me who has chronic, painful migraines and sound sensitivity. He never looks you in the eyes and dies not give you much time. I was diagnosed with having two pituitary tumors two years ago. He was very blasé about my tumors and kind of blew them off which I did not understand. We were to monitor them every year for their growth. I just had an appointment and he asked me if I had seen a neuro surgeon yet though he should have known as he would have referred me. At this point he ordered another MRI which is a year late. I do not like how casual he is in working with his patients. This could potentially be… serious but he blew it off. I will be looking for a new doctor who will treat me with respect and kindness as a concerned patient. I would not recommend this doctor.

My parents had an appointment that was very unsatisfactory regarding my father's dementia. He had no patience with my parents and treated them as an imposition and even admitted that he was angry at them for missing an appointment in November. He was very snippy and talked down to them. His attitude caused much emotional distress for my parents and they will never go back to him.
