Dr. Joseph Alexander Little III, MD

As a parent, I feel that it is very important for a doctor to listen to me, and this didn't happen at all, for the majority of our very short visit. I was interrupted constantly when I tried to tell this doctor about my child's symptoms; he was diagnosing, pretty much writing it off as nothing before I even had a chance to tell him what all was going on. This was our first visit with this pediatrician. I have heard all positive things about this pediatrician, but I was shocked at the lack of professional judgement, courtesy, respect, and empathy given to our situation. I was very displeased. Maybe we caught him on a bad day; I don't know. I don't want to write him off as a "bad" doctor, as I've heard many say he's wonderful; he just wasn't so wonderful to our family.

Dr. Little has been my children's primary doctor for the past 4 years. He has always seemed like he was rushing through the appointment. As my daughter has grown I have become bothered by his bedside manner. He has made almost no effort to speak to/ explain anything to her. I find this very troubling. Today I went in for her 4 yr appointment and I will never return again. His nurse seemed extremely put out to be having to do anything with my child. She didn't speak besides barking instruction at her. She made no explanation about what was going to happen. Dr. Little did not tell me what vaccines he was giving why he was taking blood. He was very abrupt/rough while checking her private areas with no explination to her before hand about what and why he was doing it. I asked two questions and he didn't even answer them as he raced out the door.

I love dr little- awesome awesome dr! Staff not so good! Very rude staff and when there was problems nothing was ever addressed. Sadly I had to find another dr. If only dr little had a private practice.

He was my doctor when I was a child and now he is my son's doctor. I always feel confident about his diagnosis. I have never waited longer than 5 to 10 minutes to get in to see him. Great office and great doctor.
