Dr. Joseph Anthony Lombardo, MD

A fine gentleman and physician with many years of experience and empathy for his patients. He's a good person to have in your corner. As far as $$$ is concerned, I'm sorry, but doctors, PAs, nurse practitioners, nurses, nursing assistants, diagnostic technicians, therapists, administrative staff and other medical professionals need to get paid just like anyone else. If you have a problem with that, you can always go to an ER, and they will treat you then bill you later.

Dr. Lambardo is a wonderful practitioner of medicine and a real class act. The entire staff at Pioneer Medical in Long Beach has alwas giving me exceptional service when I've been in need of medical which unfortunately is quite often.

One thing I like with Dr Lombardo he explain everything till you feel comfortable.

My family and I have been going to this facility for years. Because of a family illness we ranked up a beefy bill. I have been on a payment plan for quite awhile and never miss a payment. Now I (the head of household) wanted to make an appointment. But because of other family members bill being high they would not treat me until the debt was paid in full. I called and asked if I could just pay my part which they told me was 124.00 and they said that would be fine (as technically I would be paid in full), and I did. Then when I called the office after dealing with their business office they said that there was still a $34 balance and would not treat me. I told them that when I came into the office that I could pay it before I saw the Doctor. They refused to even make me an appointment. This is not the first time that they have put the almighty dollar ahead of my health. This place will not care for you, only if you have money. Seriously? The price of my health is $34 bucks… and you wont treat me until that is paid first. And if you have an emergency and see the "urgent care" they will not offer any relief from pain or ailment as you have to come back during the time your doctor is there to issue any form of prescription. And don't even think about asking any questions to Dr. Lombardo during your visit cause he will only give you the 10 minute time limit and anything over you have to reschedule for another appointment.

We've been seeing him for many many years--very conscientious and thorough. He really listens--treats questions seriously no matter how dumb.
