Dr. Joseph Edward Losee, MD

Dr Losee is a hidden treasure ! He is the most amazing person I have ever met ! This man treats my daughter as if she is his one and only patient and number one priority. I have never once not smiles ear to ear seeing him come into our room to talk to us! Just his pure presence makes me breath relief because I know he is going to make it all ok! You will be disappointed to put your baby in his hands ! My daughter was born with one of the worse clefts the team has seen and Dr. Losee along with the most amazing team cake up with a unique and very new way to repair her cleft ! Every surgery was perfect every appointment was perfect ! I couldn’t have anything better to say about them! Dr. Losee is a perfectionist and honestly I wouldn’t want anything less from someone who is sewing up my baby girls lip and palate ! If you don’t go with Dr. Losee and his pittsburgh cleft team you are really missing out on the best care you could get for your child !

Never have we met a more compassionate surgeon. He treats my son as a human, not a condition. He's the best!

This rating is not so much for Dr Losee himself, but more for the ridiculous scheduling and rescheduling that I had to go through to have my daughters cleft lip revision done. first of allâ?¦The appointments take FOREVER. plan to be there an entire day. no joke. then when his secretary finally calls you to schedule the appointment, she never tells you that your selected surgery date and time will most likely be cancelled and then rescheduled and then cancelled again..I picked the date based on what worked best for my family. my mother bought a plane ticket to fly in to town to help me take care of my daughter after her surgery and also to help with my 7 month old baby so I could focus on my 2 year old in the post op days. The secretary called me a few weeks before the surgery date and said she had to cancel the appt. Then I picked a new surgery date, one that my mother would not be able to be in town for, but that's how it goesâ?¦She then called me about a week after that to… tell me it was going to be moved back to the old surgery dateâ?¦so I again had to let my boss know for a second time, so that she could adjust the schedule. Then, two days before the surgery date, she called a third time to say that again the surgery was canceled. And again reminded me that no surgery date is ever set in stoneâ?¦Well, that's easy for her to say. But what about the families of the kids getting the surgery. We need to plan our lives around the surgery date, make sure help is available if needed, try to keep the child in a bubble for weeks at a time to keep them well enough to have the surgery, take time off from work, talk to the child and prepare them for the upcoming surgeryâ?¦IT IS A LOT OF PREPARATION, and it is TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL to cancel a scheduled surgery once, twice, and THREE times!!! What is the point of having a schedule at all if you can't keep the date and times that you offer to your patients!?!?!?! I now have to explain to my boss that the surgery was again canceled, then plan to take more days off from work, then have my mother book another flight out hereâ?¦only to probably have to do it all again when they call me a fourth time to cancel. THE WORST.

very informative with the parents. lovely and patient with the children. my daughter loves him and actually looks forward to our visits. a magician in surgery and a very, very likeable personality

We have been with Dr Losee and his staff for over 7 years. He has been wonderful and does amazing work. Dr. Julio Clavijo was wonderful too. They are such caring and dedicated Doctors who know their work and care about their patients.

Dr. Joseph Losee goes above and beyond the call of duty. He is not only brilliant, but he is the most compassionate, caring, professional, and friendly physician that I have ever met. I often say that he is an "Angel on earth!"My son has been a patient of Dr. Losee's for over 7 years. My son tells everyone that Dr. Losee is his favorite doctor. I truly believe that he saved my sons life. I am very blessed that Dr. Losee is a physician at Children's Hospital Pittsburgh. There are not enough stars in the universe to rate is excellence in all aspects of medicine.

I just had rhinoplast done about a month ago, he did a great job. I look better, and I can breathe better. Only a few more surgeries to go. He's great.
