I have the utmost respect for Dr. J. Matthews and his surgical technique, excellent bedside manner and his calming effect he exhibits from start to finish during office visits and throughout the surgical procedures he's performed on me (Numerous intestinal resections and partial colon removal. I trust him with my life without hesitation. I understand his son Richard is now with the practice and has worked by Josephs side on occasion and exhibits similar qualities. I've had surgery in the UK by some of the best, I feel they couldn't compare to the expertise and caring for patients as Dr. J. Matthews has.

Dr Matthews is the best doctor and surgeon anyone could ask for. He takes as much time with his patients as they need and always helps with any concerns. His professionalism, bedside manner, and overall caring for his patients cannot be measured. I've had the pleasure of having him perform two surgeries on me and each time, he was a blessing to me and my family. Truly a gifted man.
