Dr. Joseph Matthew Miller JR., MD

I saw this doctor as part of a routine ultrasound in a low risk pregnancy at Touro. His exam was brief and competent. However, I felt that the doctor's bedside manner left a lot to be desired, and he very quickly developed a plan for me to receive further testing that I did not feel was necessary. I felt that his decision was made hastily and held some bias based on the fact that I was there by myself, and was overweight before my pregnancy. I also did not feel that I was afforded the time to ask questions or develop informed consent about these future plans, and I left the appointment disappointed and upset. I would not want to see this doctor again.

He advised me to stop taking the anxiety medicine that my other doctor prescribed me, and he was supposed to notify her to change it to a different medication, but he didn't report it to her at all. Now, they are unable to contact him, I have to take my medication, and I don't know what to do. I'm pregnant, and now I have to take the medicine that's not as safe, due to him being unavailable. He's very nice and to the point, and I understand that he's very busy, but I wish he would've put it in the report. I would like to know how to contact him in the case ofemergencies such as this one

I had a high risk pregnancy, the doctor always answered my questions and concerns and was very thorough, I felt at ease with him.

this doctor was horrible. my wife went into the doctor with a shortened cervix and he told her the baby was going to die but thanks for choosing west jeff and i hope you come back in the future. what a jerk. he also told her on her second visit to take a pill and just end it. i will never go to west jeff or any place he practices in because if i saw him again i would probably punch him. his eye rolls and his acts of (who knows) is annoying. my wife did lose the baby at 22 weeks 2 days. i would not recommend this doctor to anyone who has any problems. i hate this doctor he is a phony.
