Dr. Joseph Anthony Murphy, MD

I have excellent insurance so my co-pay is reasonable. He has patients come for an exam and then makes them schedule a follow up appt so he can charge for two visits if they need an additional procedure. I have been coming here for years but changed today to a Niagara Falls Retina Specialust. My first visit today I was there a total of 3 hrs, had several pics taken, an exam AND received a shot for my diabetic retinopathy and only had one co-pay. Dr. Murphy is a good doc w an excellent staff but shows total disrespect for his ptient’s time AND the financial resources of his elderly clients. I won’t be back.

Dr. Murphy is very thorough. He takes all the time he needs with you. Explains everything completely. It's the procedures that take a while to perform, the nature of the business. He's absolutely wonderful and he has a fantastic staff. Highly recommend.

You are warned before appointment that there is a long waiting time. Dr. Murphy is worth the wait.

Excellent results with retinal tear laser surgery performed a year ago. Very thorough examination and explanations. Pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Murphy is one of the few ophthalmologists who is also a retina specialist in the Buffalo area. So if you see showering stars or cobweb floaters, rush to a retina specialist.

Dr. Murphy is a wonderful doctor, I just wish I could get out of the office in under 3 hours.

I was a new patient referred by my own doctor - and it was an urgent thing - they got me in right away. They told me what to expect and that is what happened. :) His staff is A-1! Wonderful people! And Dr. Murphy is incredible - he spends time with you, puts you at ease, explains what he is doing and why, and what your problem exactly is. I am an RN and pretty hard to impress. But I am very very impressed by this physician, his skills and his staff.

Excellent doctor. A very people-person who always makes sure you understand what is going on and answers all questions.

I have been seeing the Doctor for more than a year and find the care i am receiving excellent and find nothing negative since i have been seeing him, I also had surgery and his aftercare was and is still appreciated and very caring, I would not hesitate to refer hime to anyone. He also has a caring and professional staff.
