Dr. Joseph Thomas Overton, MD

He is an excellent doctor and so compassionate! We have been his patients since 1998 and could never find another who would care so deeply about his patients. He has been outstanding with us, and when I have had several melanomas, he treated them quickly and still follows up every 2 months to be sure everything is OK. I appreciate his aggressive approach to cancer and concern for his patients. We have sent him many others and they always were treated like family. I highly recommend him.

Best Doctor Ever

I drive 40 minutes to see him. There are many doctors in his field much closer to me, but none that are nearly the doctor he is.

Dr. Overton is the doctor whom everyone would want to care for them. He is so caring and makes one feel they are the only patient he has - never in a rush - willing to answer all questions - I had to call after hours the day of my husband's surgery and Dr.Overton didn't make me feel like I had interrupted his night and why was I calling - he helped us get through the night and all is well - all in all he is the most caring doctor we know.

My 1st Time Visit Was Shoved Off To The P.A. I Thought Her Bedside Manner Was Lack Luster, She Was Condescending And Rude.I Didn't Like Her One Bit, I Don't Think She's Cut Out For The Average Everyday Person (she acted like a snob) And Looked Through Me Like I Was Beneath Her. She Must Have Had Better Things To Do That Day... The Medication I Was Prescribed Worked Well...There Wont Be A Second Visit, I'll Find Another Doctor Who Is Actually A Human Being With Some "Empathy"...

Very professional, excellent service. Dr. Overton and the staff were very kind and helpful during and after minor surgery.I would recommend.

This office is a head scratcher. The office staff seem to be in general disarray, no one really knows what their doing. The doctor seems to have a bad case of cya since everything he removed on me was suspected to be cancer and sent off for testing...only to come back negative. Perhaps he just likes my insurance dollars. Another oddity was the office dog, I'm all for pets in the work place but in a place of medicine? As for the wait time 40 minutes is unacceptable to be sitting in wait, i will not be returning.

The last review must have been why I waited so long to see the doctor... He spends a lot of time with the patient which is great except in the three times i've been there it's caused me and many other patients to wait for excessive amounts of time in the waiting room. My times important and I want a provider that respects my time as much as they expect me to respect theirs. The nurses are ok and the ladies up front are generally ok, the only one that stands out is Judy and thats because she's somewhat rude and generally inept.

I just love Dr. Overton. He is so kind and compassionate. He takes lots of time with me and answers all my questions. His staff is nice, too. Particularly his Esthetician. I've seen her several times and receive consisently professional and excellent service. I encourage all of my friends to visit Dr. Overton's office to meet their dermatologic needs.
