Extremely unkind when on a phone call, while he was on call. I had called in for concern of a potential myasthenic crisis, wondering if I should go to the ER. I was told that if your symptoms haven't changed, it is not an emergency, and that I should not have called this number - I was given this number to call, if ever in doubt about the progression of my symptoms post surgery. I had not yet gotten past stating my first symptom before he cut me off to say "is this an emergency? - otherwise you should call in the morning". The point of an on call doctor is to assess if it is an emergency and guide with next steps, post surgery. I have called twice before in the past month, and was met with kind physicians who quickly talked me through the best next steps. Very surprised and upset by the experience.
