Dr. Joseph Anthony Platania, MD

Dr Platania is a wonderful cardiologist. He is concerned and follows up on everything. I would highly recommend him.

He's just awesome, his thoroughness and depth of knowledge create a great doctor patient experience. I use him as my primary and he checks my blood work each year and runs other necessary tests. He sits down with you after the visit to go over what was discussed and the plan going forward. He handles issues far more complex than mine but still is a very proactive and thorough. Feel comfortable no matter why you need a cardio you are in the best hands with him. Even with moving to different parts of the city over the years I always trek to the UES for Dr. Platania .It's worth it . I've always found him helpful, a great listener and someone who I highly recommend.

He is humane, yet efficient, and so is his staff and office. He won't waste your time (or expense) with exams or tests you don't need; yet, he will leave no stone unturned in determining the cause(s) of your problem and the best solution(s) to make you well again. You will leave his office knowing you have just seen one of the best cardiologists in NYC.
