I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Rakowski. From the very first consultation, it was clear that I was in the hands of not just a highly skilled surgeon, but a truly compassionate physician who genuinely cares for their patients. Dr. Rakowski took the time to explain every step of the process, answered all my questions with patience, and made me feel confident and informed throughout my care. He is a very quick provider with his appointments because I mean with him being the only surgeon that specializes in Gynecology Oncology, he probably sees around 50 patients a day with only having one day a week for being in office because they say he is doing multiple surgeries a day. The surgery itself was a complete success, and the recovery has been smooth thanks to Dr. Rakowski’s expertise and attentiveness. Never actually got into the office. My dr was sending me there for Genetic testing and each time I spoke to the office staff trying to make an appointment they were talking about doing my surgery. Then they sent me medical forms and advanced directives. I had to repeat why I was going there several times and well, I made an appointment instead with the Beaumont Genetics Center and canceled this appointment. I don't have any faith in this dr for genetic counselling. This staff really needs to be trained to listen to people when they call in.

He is excellent, a great addition to the Oakwood Hospital Staff.

Took our daughter to surgery for a ovary tumor. Absolutely first class experience the entire time, robotic surgery, small scars. Other doctors wanted to perform a traditional open surgery, but he did it robotic and she is doing great! Jamie his nurse is so kind.

He is an excellent, caring, and compassionate doctor. Professional staff and his nurse Jamie is so helpful. Had the surgery at Sparrow Hospital and doing well. Had the robotic surgery and I would recommend Dr. Rakowski to everyone in mid-Michigan. He is awesome and easy to talk to. I felt like he really listened to me as the patient.

When the other doctors wanted my mom to have Hospice and wouldn't give her a chance, DR RAKOWSKI came on the case and gave us ALL of the options, including the robot. He took her to surgery and because of him our mom is alive and fighting her cancer! She has HOPE and we know the Sparrow Cancer Center will offer the care she DESERVES! THANK YOU DR RAKOWSKI!

He is amazing surgeon and even more amazing bedside manner. Took time to explain my treatment options and performed robotic surgery for my cancer when the other docs wanted to cut me open. I only have 3 tiny scars!!!! Worth the trip to Sparrow! Highly recommended! He is the BEST
