Dr. Rectenwald is like talking to a friend. He is very knowledgeable and always gives you all your options without pushing you in a specific strategy. He is a patient first doctor in my opinion.

This is the second hand issue I’ve seen him for and am so happy to have found such an excellent surgeon. I recommend him highly to my family and friends.

Dr. Rectenwald performed surgery to release two trigger thumbs. From the initial office visit to the surgery, he and everyone else I dealt with were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Rectenwald was genuinely concerned and took the time to explain the problem and the procedure and answered any questions I had. Since it was outpatient surgery, I went home that day and late that afternoon he called to check on me. I would highly recommend Dr. Rectenwald to others and I would not hesitate to return to him if I ever have another problem with my hands.

Dr. Rectenwald performed bilateral open carpal tunnel release on my hands last Friday, and I'm incredibly happy with the results. No more numbness and pain waking me up at night! Dr. Rectenwald made me feel really comfortable about the procedure and recovery, and took plenty of time to answer all of my questions. I had been putting this surgery off for a long time and I'm so glad that I finally had it done. I would 100% recommend Dr. Rectenwald to anyone.

Dr Joseph Rectenwald is a very regal physician who may speak with great optimism but is also helpful in going the extra mile in revealing the long term scope of his diagnosis! He shoots straight from the hip and is a really cool guy who doesn't mind stooping down to make things clearer! I recommend him to anyone suffering from bone damage! Downside: Watch out for the older nurse with long black hair who will manhandle you without warning! (I think she had a bad lunch break if none at all!) LOL!
