Dr. Joseph Patrick Ryan, MD

Dr Ryan is always prepared and goes over our entire history before even walking into the room. He is caring and listens well, and I appreciate the open dialogue we always have regarding my daughters specialized care. He is respectful of my daughter as a person, not just a patient and always talks to her and tells her what he is doing before he does it.

My daughter was seen the ED with a nasty stomach ache and ended up being admitted at MCR in Loveland. She is only 5 so obviously, was having a hard time with things as was I. Dr. Ryan was called in as her attending (we use a pediatrician here in Loveland) and I couldn't have been happier with him and his care. He made my daughter and I feel so comfortable, he was absolutely AMAZING with her! If anyone is looking for a pediatrician in Greeley, you HAVE to choose him! If we lived closer to Greeley, I would absolutely switch care for our kiddos to him (even though we love our pediatrician) he was so reassuring about everything, he took time to find out her history, he was just genuinely the nicest guy and an amazing doctor! Thank you Dr. Ryan for helping our baby girl!!

We have seen Dr Ryan for nearly 10 years and he has been great untill lately. My 7 year old son has been dealing with some painful intestinal issues lately and Dr Ryan basically in his face lectured him and said he just has to deal with it. In two follow on appts we told other doctors this, 1 from Ryan's office, 1 gi specialist, both agreed that Ryan was wrong with what he said. No we have a letter saying they won't see us anymore. We were told that it was because we bad mouthed Dr Ryan!

My children have been patients of Dr. Ryan for twelve years. It started with my second daughter, who had to spend time in the NICU. He was amazing during that uncertain and stressful time in our lives. My first daughter has asthma and he has been very thorough with treating her. My third daughter actually had a reaction to immunizations when she was 2 months old, she received several unmarked shots from our local health department at the time so we weren't sure as to which shot she could have reacted to. He was very respectful with our decision to hold off on vaccinations until she was 4 years old. He suggested we start slowly immunizing her one at a time until it was time. The final shot was the dtap, we ultimately decided to skip this shot, he was very supportive with our decision. I never leave an appointment feeling like I have unanswered questions. He is always very informative and respects my final decisions when it pertains to my children's individual health concerns. I highly… recommend him!

I am so lucky to have such an amazing doctor for my boys! Even if they are unable to see dr. Ryan I am more than comfortable with the amazing care and kindness the receive when they see Tom Dean! They are both so unbelievably good at what they do and honestly care about their patients!

I had an extremely bad experience. We encountered Dr. Ryan at the hospital after my first son was born. It was a very long natural labor and delivery (62 hours). He came in the next morning after we had only gotten about 5 hours of sleep. He shut the door pulled a seat up 2 feet from my husband, myself and my sleeping baby and began to tell me how bad of a mother I was. He did not agree with my decisions against the vaccinations in the hospital. Instead of just telling us that he didn't agree... he told us that God should not give people like us children, that our child was going to die, that we were unfit to be parents, and many other horrible things. Whether you agree with me or not, no human being should ever be treated like this. After 45 minutes of his lecture, my husband finally stood up and drug him out of our hospital room. I personally feel that he should have lost his license over this! I am well educated, I can make my own decisions, and I am a Doctor too. AND I would never… treat a patient of mine like he treated us!

dr. ryan is a great pediatrician. one of my children had childhood asthma, he was fantastic at treating it in a way that allowed her to be fully active. he is the best!
