Dr. Joseph Carl Smiddy, MD

The front office staff is not professional. They do not identify themselves by name when answering the calls for the office. When requesting any help with medication refills over the phone, they will read a script telling you to contact the pharmacy to have them send over the request to get the refill and not allow you to speak to a nurse or doctor even if you already did all this before calling them. When you have any additional questions for the doctor, you must make an appointment with the doctor as they will not call you. I was a patient at this office for several years and decided not to return as they were unwilling to realize the front office staff was not helping people with refills on prescriptions that are vital to my staying alive. Dr. Smiddy is not empathetic and very stoic in his actions. I would not recommend this office as they are not attentive to helping anyone if they can’t take the path of least resistance.

Dr. Smiddy is very patient, and listens carefully to your issues. He spends enough time with you to analyze your situation and answer questions. He is compassionate and competent.I would recommend him.

Dr. Smiddy is very caring and concerned. I appreciate that talks to me and listens. His staff is also very nice. I have been a patient for almost 10 years and strongly recommend him to those needing a compassionate MD.
