Dr. Joseph Vincent Stock, MD

Very incompetent. Likes to just brush the case. Unprofessional at what he does. Seems to be very unhappy w what he does. That’s pathetic

I went to the ER with severe pain in my right shoulder and N/V. I had experienced this shoulder pain 2 years ago, was treated for an impinged nerve. Had doctor visit and X-ray 4 days earlier. Ortho visit scheduled for 5 days later. Despite what I explained to Dr. Stock, he insisted on getting chest X-ray which showed normal results. I was found to have an electrolyte deficiency and I was admitted to hospital. When my shoulder pain became intolerable, I learned Dr. Stock had not even ordered Tylenol for pain. I’ve been an RN for more than 30 years and don’t appreciate being treated so indifferently.

Went to the NMMC ER, near renal failure due to a foodborne illness, campylobacter. Obviously very ill and disoriented, they hydrated me, gave me pain meds and started two antibiotics, which was the right course of treatment. This guy tells me that he believes I got sick because of some kind of toxin on the outside of something I ate. He tells me I have colitis and that I need to follow up with my GI. My GI tells me that Dr. Stock is an idiot, and there was no reason for me to have seen a GI dr. My labs were clear about what was wrong. So, I wasted another day and more money going to a dr. that I didn't need to see. Thanks NMMC and Dr. Stock. Once again giving credence to why we are the laughing stock of medicine in the TN, AL, MS area.
