Dr. Joseph Derit Te, MD

Dr. Te's front counter clerical person/scheduler, Gina, is rude and argumentative. I am a Vietnam vet with a pancreatic tumor, and facing end-of-life issues. When I try to contact Dr. Te through Gina, he does not reply. However, his medical assistant, Rex, has been very helpful and compassionate. Gina even refused to provide me with a simple 1-page note confirming that I was at the clinic for blood work last week. My wife drives me 80 miles to my appointments, but the VA will not reimburse me for travel without written proof of the date I was there. Sorry Rex, and thank you for all you did for me, but I am seeking a new ONC team at Inter-Mountain Cancer Center. It is time for Dr. Te to reassess his clerical staff on behalf of his patients or lose them. Thomas H. von Muller

Absolutely the most incompetent, angry, self serving, condescending, appointment scheduler I’ve ever encountered. Dr. Te’s assistant does NOT return phone calls. Not ONCE! A note to Dr. Te. Fire your staff and start over. They ruin the experience!

Nursing staff was awesome. Front desk staff needs a spanking.

Excellent if needed

I have had two appointments with Dr. Te and am impressed with his caring and professional status. He ran me through all sorts of tests to find out what exactly was wrong. Some doctors would have taken the results of the first tests and left it at that. He may have saved my life with his persistence and I thank him for his expertise.

First time I met with him, after my diagnosis and before my surgery, I had many questions. His response to me was, "I know you have a lot of questions but I have other patients to see. Set up an appointment after your surgery." I should have sought out someone else but decided to give him a chance since my emotions were running high. Things have been OK until this last appointment. I have been taking a astronomers for 8 months, I noticed after being on it for two months that my kidney function was declining. Now after 8 months, it has decided even more. I tried explaining that to him but he said it is very rare for that medication to cause kidney problems. I went off the medication for 3 weeks had another blood test and my kidney function went up 20 points. I pay a lot of money for his expertise; I don't expect to have to diagnosis myself.

Dr.Te is very knowledgeable and you can tell his staff and him really do care and show concern and are very intuitive to what you say and they address all concern and fears with the up most respect. The nurse I have had most is fantastic at her job. She is smiling makes jokes and makes you fill very comfortable and your family members. I am lucky to have found him and his staff and recommend them to anyone and everyone that needs a doctor with his specialty.

I have Dr Te and his staff to be more than caring. Whenever I visit his office I feel like I am with friends. I am greeted by name and treated both professionally and friendly. I would recommend Dr Te to anyone, and have.
