Dr. Joseph Warren Thompson, DO

My first visit with Dr. Thompson. Took a few minutes longer than my scheduled appointment, but the staff was excellent and very courteous. At this point would definitely recommend.

I really recommend Dr. Thompson. He is a very good listener, knows his stuff, and has excellent bedside manners. He wants to improve or make well whatever you're coming to him for. He truly knows how to empathize with those who are hurting and cares and communicates this verbally and with eye contact.

We have been patients for about 20 years and love Dr. Thompson. He is highly recommended. He always spends enough time with us and we feel like every question is answered. He genuinely cares about his patients. He has spent time in Iraq caring for injured soldiers.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thompson's for over 25 years. He is the best at diagnosing a problem. He is very courteous and spends as much time as needed to diagnose the problem(s). However his new staff (although a lot larger waiting room) needs much improvement. The switchboard is the worst and it takes forever just to talk to someone. His old office was much more efficient, and faster with less people. I can not say enough good things about Doctor Thompson though, he knows what he is doing.

Dr. Thompson spends quite a bit of time with each patient, not just going in throwing a few medical terms around, and back out of the room. Office personnel/medical assistants could use some people skills.

I came to hom from a Doctor I can only describe as a Quack. Thank God I changed. He's very sympathetc even when in a rush.

Their switchboard is a nightmare to get through and the office staff doesn't follow up very well. When they do they don't leave you a direct number, so you're once again going through the switchboard. Dr. Thompson is an excellent physician in most ways but if you ever enter a hospital he'll vanish on you. Wait times aren't usually too bad and the medicine dispensed is of a quality nature. Plus he'll spend plenty of time discussing your condition with you once you're actually in his office. Most of the negatives could be resolved with an email address and good follou-up, but probably since they can't figure out how to bill you for an email it doesn't exist.
