Dr. Watson is a senior neurosurgeon and professor of Neurosurgery at Georgetown University, leading the Comprehensive Brain Tumor Center at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. He earned his B.S. from Stanford and his M.D. from UC San Diego. He completed his neurosurgical residency at the Medical College of Virginia (now VCU) and a fellowship at the NIH in pituitary and cerebrovascular surgery. Dr. Watson brings the wisdom of pioneering mentors from both coasts to his work with patients at MGUH.

The surgeon is outstanding. He gives a thorough exam, listens carefully & includes the patient in decisions. He has a wonderful bedside manner.

Although Dr Watson seems knowledgeable in his craft, a patient needs to be able to ask questions about their condition without being condescended to or demeaned. In my case Dr Watson never bothered to show me my MRI results and rudely stood up and left mid-conversation when I asked a question about my treatment options, stating that my question "added nothing to the conversation". I found his behavior unprofessional and certainly do not feel comfortable placing my trust in this doctor.

Dr. Watson is my personal hero.After two failed spine surgeries within 13 months, I was told to see Dr Watson by a family friend/surgeon and he restored my health, sanity, and joy of living.

*Dr. Watson is an excellent physician. He's very good at what he does and quiet frankly made my experience seem while very comforting, easy for a procedure that was difficult for me.

The doctor was very nice but only got about 5 minutes of his time. The PA was terribly rude and abrupt with me. Mean to be more precise.
